“I know being late is my fault, but it’s not like you two have had your babies yet, right? I just helped deliver a baby myself a moment ago!”

“What? Since when did you switch careers and become a doctor?” Sizhe teased.

“Of course not. I just happened to come across it on my way here. There was a traffic jam, so we had to deliver the baby in my car.”

“You?” Sizhe pointed at Jian Dan, his voice full of disbelief.

“Of course it wasn’t me doing the actual delivery! There was an OB-GYN nurse on-site at the time.”

“But you just said you delivered the baby.” Sizhe pressed further.

“I was responsible for calming the mother down, okay? Emotional support is very important too!”
