“Gu Xicheng, keep your ridiculous thoughts to yourself.”

Wen Mo remarked without lifting his head. He then held Chi Wan up and said, “She’s drunk. We shall leave first.”

Rong Xi waved warmly. “You must make sure Goddess returns home safely! When you two break up, let me know so I can get ready!”

“Quit daydreaming.” Gu Xicheng nudged Rong Xi’s head impatiently. “You’d better clean yourself up and go to sleep, you little virgin.”

Rong Xi ignored him and stared at the couple as they left. He suddenly blurted out, “Why do I feel that Brother Mo and Goddess are a good match…”

“Which aspect matches? Height or size?” scoffed Gu Xicheng.

Rong Xi did not get his dirty joke and quipped, “Goddess and I make a good match too. Aren’t elder sister-younger brother relationships[1] the trend now?”

“Hmph, such a filthy woman. Who knows whether he’ll get sick.”

Gu Xicheng paused, then laughed.

Wen Mo was a clean freak, but he was not completely obsessed with cleanliness. In their circle, the man who had rather high standards when it came to choosing a partner would never be interested in a used good[2], no matter how low his standards were.

Moreover, Wen Mo was the pickiest among them.

As Gu Xicheng thought of this, he felt at ease and continued to roast Rong Xi.

Wen Mo froze, then he bent down, sat beside her, and called Qin Yu to come over and drive the car.

“What on earth are you scared of?”

Chi Wan leaned her head on his shoulder and refused to remember what she witnessed earlier. She mumbled, “Anyway… Don’t go, please?”

Wen Mo felt the coolness of her body and his firm voice took a soothing turn under the night.

He replied, “I won’t.”

Chi Wan muttered a reply unconsciously and fell silent.

All Wen Mo could hear next was the steady sound of her breathing. When he assumed she had fallen asleep…

Without warning, Chi Wan sat up again, grabbed his collar, and roared, “Wen Mo, how are you so good at pretending? Are you a spy sent by our nation’s enemies?”

Wen Mo was speechless.

She was apparently too absorbed in acting.

He held her hands still and regarded her in shock. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Chi Wan looked at him with a lopsided head and a misty gaze. She laughed maniacally.

“I want to tear away your disguise! Show yourself, demon!”
