Chapter 8: I Won’t Bully You

Sadness numbed Reyes’s senses. He didn’t even hear the footsteps behind him.

Toya had a cup in her hand and wanted to get some water in the kitchen. As soon as she got down, she found Reyes standing next to a wall. Even though his back was to her, she could tell he was upset.

Why was he sad? Because he didn’t like his stepmother?

Did he read too many fairy tales and was afraid that his stepmother would make things difficult for him?

Just like the troubled Snow White and Cinderella.

Toya found her association adorable and couldn’t bear to see Reyes sad.

She came up behind Reyes.

Reyes finally realized there was someone behind him. He quickly straightened his back and turned around.

Toya mesmerized Reyes with a single movement, and his heart was beating even crazier than before.

Toya slowly walked into the kitchen in her slippers.
