“She really is something else, not telling us about such an important issue.”

“Uh… Actually, Lagaray didn’t reach out to me. I learned about the situation internally from the Sword Bearers.” Immediately, Rein explained the intelligence he received to Anna in detail.

“I see now!” Anna suddenly exclaimed with a look of sudden realization.

“I understand why Lagaray didn’t contact you or me! It must be that Lagaray doesn’t want us to worry because of this matter and definitely doesn’t want to involve you in the troubles her tribe is facing.”

“Rein, I want to go with you!” Anna said earnestly.

“Hmm?”

Rein hadn’t even considered taking Anna along.

He had already refused Neoro and the others, let alone Anna.

“It’s not suitable for you; it’ll be a long journey, and there might be battles afterward. You should stay home and wait.” Rein shook his head.

“I’m not afraid of battles, and if you get injured, I can heal you.” Anna said, her big eyes fixed on Rein.

“I’m very light, not even as heavy as your weapon. Adding me won’t make the Blood Feather feel burdened.”

The middle of the group was most striking, featuring enormous highland yaks with deep brown long hair, pulling hundreds of roughly-made flatbed carts.

The carts were loaded with various supplies for daily living, including tents, clay pots, animal skins, and other provisions, with many of the tribe’s elderly and children riding around them.

Though it’s the Flowers Month, the weather on the Frostwind Prairie remained cold, and with each breath, the great yaks exhaled two thick white streams from their nostrils.

Suddenly!

A squad of twelve Frost Wolf Knights was returning rapidly from the rear, seemingly just back from reconnaissance.

Leading them was a voluptuous woman in leather armor, carrying an exceptionally eye-catching giant round shield on her back and wielding a massive steel battle axe in her right hand.

The broad and bright blade of the axe was stained with fresh red blood, evidently just after a battle.

“Captain Lagaray, how’s the situation at the rear?” a tall barbarian warrior called out.

“Same as usual, they’re trailing from afar and occasionally sending someone to harass us.”

“Damn Black Flame Cult, we’ll eventually slaughter all of them! By the way, the Clan Leader wants you to return and see him.” The barbarian named Jorn, scratching the braid on his head, spoke in a deep voice.

“Lagaray, are those Black Flame Cult bastards still tailing us?”

“Yes, Clan Leader Dalius, though they haven’t launched an attack, just watching us leave from afar.”

“Then let’s ignore them.” Clan Leader Dalius, an extraordinarily tall barbarian, finally showed a relieved expression.

Over the last six months, the Norton Tribe and the Black Flame Cult have engaged in more than a dozen battles, mostly emerging victorious, but the Black Flame Cult often refrained from direct involvement.

Instead, they incited those primitive tribes, mercenaries, and others to harass and attack the tribe.

Which means their strength hasn’t really been damaged.

“Contact the Richi people. Now is not the time for infighting among our barbarian tribes.” High Priest Rom sighed.

“High Priest, do you think the Black Flame Cult will continue to press us even after we’ve migrated this far north?” Clan Leader Dalius asked, clearly displeased at the suggestion of reaching out to the Richi people.

“Now we’re a thorn in the side of the Black Flame Cult. Put yourself in their shoes, what would you do?”
