Chapter 43: Too Small

Gu Chen lowered his head and took a look at those things. Sure enough, there were so many things she had picked up. If he had not seen the lollipops and the chips between the vegetables, he would really have believed that she was really buying some food.

As a matter of fact, these foods were just a disguise to cover up her real purpose. After she tossed the things into the cart, she still showed him the brightest smile, fearing that he might have seen those few items.

“Wait outside for me. There are too many people here. I can do the checking out.” Jian Sangyu looked like a very gentle and sweet wife who looked at Gu Chen with a pair of mild eyes. “I know men are never patient.”

“Unfortunately, however, I happen to be very patient.” Gu Chen interrupted Jian Sangyu’s words and showed a slight smile. Obviously, she was afraid that he would see the snacks she snuck in when he checked out.

But he just didn’t want to follow her wishes. It was so much fun to see her being so cautious.

Jian Sangyu lowered her head and pursed her lips in the same way as she had always done. Gu Chen, who looked down at her from a commanding view, noticed the micro-expression she had on her face.

The queue had slowed down for some reason, and Jian Sangyu became so anxious in her heart that she feared that her secret would be exposed once Gu Chen went through the stuff in cart.

Jian Sangyu had thought of an idea – she would push Gu Chen outside the line when it came to their turn to checkout violently, so she would be left alone to pay the bills.

Jian Sangyu got so anxious, yet the guest in front of her was taking everything so easily. Suddenly, Gu Chen leaned forward and grabbed something from the shelf next to her and tossed it into the cart.

Jian Sangyu looked up subconsciously and threw a glance at Gu Chen. Only now did she see clearly what had been tossed into the cart.

The moment Jian Sangyu saw the square box she almost burnt out of shame. The first reaction she did was to stretch out the two boxes and tossed them back to the shelf.

Jian Sangyu did it at such a high speed that when Gu Chen lowered his head, he saw her withdrawn hands and her glare at him.

“You want children?” Gu Chen asked and frowned.

Jian Sangyu got confused. “What?” Why was he switching the topic so fast that she just couldn’t understand what he was talking about.

“Then get back those things now.” Gu Chen lowered his voice.

“But I am still on my period.” Jian Sangyu lowered her voice to remind Gu Chen. “I told you last night!”

“I didn’t say those are for tonight.” Gu Chen snorted and added. “For next week.”

Jian Sangyu became startled. Gu Chen raised his hand and patted the back of her hand. “If you want a child, then we can skip it. If you don’t want one, then get them back.”

That threat made Jian Sangyu scared. She threw a look around and saw that no one was noticing her, so she grabbed two boxes and tossed them back to the cart.

“Jian Sangyu.” Gu Chen sounded very displeased when he saw the boxes. “Too small.”

“What too small?” Jian Sangyu looked up and had no idea what Gu Chen meant by ‘too small.’

“The size.” Gu Chen replied.

Seeing that Jian Sangyu was still confused, Gu Chen inhaled. “The condom’s size is too small. Take the two boxes you put back into the cart instead.”

He spoke in a very clear way this time, and Jian Sangyu understood all.

In the meanwhile, the young couple behind Jian Sangyu understood as well. They chuckled with shaking shoulders behind them Jian Sangyu was too ashamed and stood still.
