Gu Chen stayed still quietly for a few seconds by the bedside, then carried the woman up over his shoulders and out of the bedroom with the blanket still on her.

No one would feel comfortable being carried around like a rug.

Jian Sangyu got so annoyed that she was gnashing her teeth. Luckily, Gu Chen soon had her sat down in a chair. He the pulled the blanket away and said in a cold voice, “Eat and then sleep.”

Jesus! Always about food! What was so important about food?

With hands tightly clenched around the blanket, Jian Sangyu was extremely annoyed after being carried out of the bedroom. Stressed by the anger she was feeling, she imitated Gu Chen’s cold face and said, “Gu Chen, I really think that we should get divorced!”

Because divorce wouldn’t ruin her sleep!

Having said those words, Jian Sangyu suddenly smelled something like a dish of braised chicken. What was more, her stomach suddenly started to grumble so heavily that she almost wanted to throw herself inside a hole in the ground to hide from the humiliation.

She instantly lost her intimidating aura!

And Gu Chen never expected that when he took her out of the room with her blanket, what he would hear was an angry statement of divorce. Sitting opposite Jian Sangyu, he had a sunken face and the atmosphere no longer felt relaxed.

“Don’t stare at me like that.” Jian Sangyu had her head lowered, daring not to look straight into Gu Chen’s eyes. No matter how fierce his glare was, she would never be able to take back what she had said.

If she was divorced, she would not need to be worried about being discovered by Gu Chen for whatever she was doing.

“Jian Sangyu, it seems that whatever I said last time didn’t get through to you. Okay, let me say it once again.” Gu Chen made a slight movement, raised his hand and scooped one bowl of soup for Jian Sangyu as he placed it down in front of her. The way he put down the bowl still showcased his annoyance.

Jian Sangyu stared at his fingertips for a few seconds and then looked up slightly to observe his increasingly darkening face.

“You and I will never get divorced.”

Having heard Gu Chen’s words, Jian Sangyu got startled. “That was not what you said.”

Men were indeed fickle and changeable. He had never said such a certain line about divorce last time.

Gu Chen let out a snort instead of answering Jian Sangyu. As far as he could see, Jian Sangyu was just being angry at the moment, mostly because she was annoyed at him for taking her out of the bed in such a way. Therefore, he didn’t take any of her words seriously.

“Gu Chen, don’t be so sure. One day, you will beg me to divorce you!” Jian Sangyu said with confidence. Then she lowered her head to get food for herself. Gu Chen didn’t want to talk with her, nor did she want to share a word with him either.

Having finished the food, Jian Sangyu, who had been very drowsy, suddenly felt rather energetic. She took her cell-phone and sat down on the sofa, separating herself from Gu Chen.

After sitting down, she had a sneaky look at Gu Chen and then thought for a moment before putting one of her legs onto the sofa. At that very moment, she suddenly noticed Gu Chen’s eyes on her, so Jian Sangyu suddenly put her leg back to the floor.

After hearing Gu Chen’s sneering, Jian Sangyu pursed and mumbled inside her. Why was she being such a coward?

If he didn’t like her behaving so freely, why not just divorce her anyway?

After a moment, Jian Sangyu instantly crossed her legs back onto the sofa like a laid-back lady, and then she leaned herself onto the cozy pillow and started to watch the TV-series she had been looking forward to watching for a long time.

Most people would see her as weird because when Gu Chen reacted to her behavior, Jian Sangyu became afraid. Yet when Gu Chen had no reaction to her behavior, Jian Sangyu was not that pleased either.
