Why is there only one special skill?

The rewards players get from the script are tied to the roles they perform. The Pope of Light may not have much in terms of tricks, but the Light Magic and Power of Faith he wields are already the most formidable weapons.

Only two were script rewards; the other two were things Xu Shuo snatched.

This artifact appears in the form of a card.

The card features a familiar, gray-white furred, massive Magical Beast–it is unmistakably Catalina’s Guardian God’s Acolyte.

This artifact takes the shape of an icy blue leaf.

Unlike Catalina’s card, it doesn’t feel quite as freezing to the touch, but the information attached to it is chilling.

Xu Shuo was rendered even more speechless.

How much does the Dawn Belief despise him? The script is already over, yet it still managed to chase him out to deliver lasting curses. Also, wasn’t the Script World just a copy of a Subspace?

It shouldn’t be so serious.

It really shouldn’t.

The artifact information does not explicitly explain what form the ensuing “divine punishment” from using this artifact would take.

But given that…

It’s labeled as a divine curse…

There’s certainly no way this will be easy to deal with!

Again, an artifact bearing the name “The Baseless One.”

Xu Shuo carefully inspected the book.

Now that it belongs to him, when Xu Shuo flips through the pages, he no longer sees blank spaces–instead, the pages are densely packed with brown text.

But these brown characters are jumbled glyphs.

They appear to resemble a kind of wild cursive script.

The text is mostly written in continuous strokes, with few breaks in the penmanship, and the lengths of the spell incantations are mostly brief.

However, the lines are undeniably entangled.

Xu Shuo examined them closely.

“He, in his own world, was a tremendously powerful magician. To the extent that he could be said to have reached invincibility, standing at the apex of the hierarchy, revered as a god by his people.”

Hong Rao slowly spoke with a wistful glint in her eyes.

Xu Shuo remained momentarily stunned: “That impressive? So was he also a player in the Script Space?”

“He once was,” Hong Rao mused.

“Once?”

“Yes, because now… he’s dead.”

“…”

An abrupt silence descended upon the scene.

After finishing half her tea.

Hong Rao set down the teacup and continued, “Most of his abilities have been reduced to fragments scattered across the Script World. Apart from this Spell Collection, there’s also a cloak that’s fairly well-known.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Xu Shuo casually pulled out a pitch-black, tattered cloak that looked as though it belonged to a scavenger.
