Under my shocked gaze, Elvin smiled and ran his index finger across the wound on my palm. After a faint green light flashed, the pain in my palm disappeared.

Elvin held my fully healed hand and examined it for a moment, as if admiring his masterpiece. Then he clapped his hands happily and asked me, “What did you do wrong? You’re injured but you still need to stand here and get scolded?”

The disciplinary committee member wouldn’t let go of this opportunity to show off in front of Elvin. “Your Highness, she’s not a good person. She tried to steal her roommate’s bed on her first day of school and even hit someone. She’s too arrogant!”

Elvin turned his gaze to me.

I nodded. “I’m not a lowly thing. I’m human, and I don’t want to climb over anyone’s head.”

Ansir could hear the teasing in my words, and the anger in his eyes grew. “Are you provoking me?”

“I’m not. I’m just trying to be reasonable. Only unreasonable people feel provoked.” I didn’t know where the courage came from, but I could actually meet Ansir’s gaze without fear.

Ansir looked at me, the red light in his eyes growing brighter as the killing intent rose from him.

Seeing that things were getting out of hand, Elvin stepped out to mediate. “She’s just a new student who doesn’t know anything. Don’t bother with her.”

However, Ansir coldly shook off Elvin’s hand and said resolutely, “She will be the first person to enter the House of the Dead for the test this semester. Lock her up and send her to the House of the Undead tomorrow night.”

Elvin startled at those words, too, then gave me a worried look.
