Although they found it odd, everyone still followed Old Sir Zhong’s instructions and returned home for the meal.

Throughout dinner, Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong kept reminding Zhong Niangyao to stay safe. This only added to everyone else’s confusion, but they didn’t ask anything.

After dinner, Zhong Niangyao spent some time talking with Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong, and instead of going back to her own room right away, she knocked on Zhong Mengfan’s door.
