Chapter 3: Getting into the Wrong Car

Owen was about to warn her, but the woman seemed to be very familiar with them. She took the wine and drank it in one gulp. Then the man beside her even put his arm around the woman’s shoulder affectionately.

Maybe they knew each other and he was thinking too much. Owen shook his head and got up to walk out the door.

On the other hand, Anita was already drunk. The man beside her reached out and pulled her into his arms. He whispered into her ear, “Where is your home? I’ll send you back.”

At this moment, Anita realized that this man’s hand was on her body. She was drunk, but not stupid, so she reached out and flung the man’s hand away. Then, she got up, picked up her handbag, and staggered out the door. How could the men behind let her leave? They winked at each other and followed her.

When she arrived outside the bar, she saw that a car was parked outside. Anita thought that it was the Uber she had called in advance, so she opened the car door and got in without hesitation.

The driver started the car as soon as Anita got in. The driver had been bribed by Owen’s best friend in advance and thought she was the call girl, so he drove away without asking.

The few men standing outside the car looked at each other in dismay. What was going on? Why was there a car parked there so coincidentally? They really wanted to curse. The few of them stomped their feet angrily. The opportunity slipped away just like that.
