Sunghee screamed at him and turned towards him. Sejin raised his eyebrows in surprise. She stomped her feet on the ground and glared.

“But you always look so short in the office!”

“It’s because I hunch my back often, especially when I get tired.”

Sejin hunched his shoulders and put his hands in his pockets the way he usually did at work. Like magic, he suddenly looked at least 10 cm shorter. Sunghee blinked in shock. It was like watching a magic show right in front of her eyes. 

“Then why do you walk around cringed like that? You’re so tall, and women love tall guys. Don’t you know that?”

“And you like tall men too, Sunghee?”

When he raised an eyebrow at her teasingly, she raised her chin and replied,

“Are you making fun of me because I’m short?”

“You don’t look too short today. Must be those heels?”

He looked down at her shoes with an arrogant grin. After kicking his shin hard, Sunghee began to walk ahead of him. She could hear Sejin laughing behind her.

187.5 cm? Sunghee couldn’t believe it. He was such a tall man, so why had she been thinking he was short and small? She couldn’t understand her mistake. Wait, actually… It wasn’t just her who thought this way. She remembered Yura saying how short Sejin was. So it wasn’t just her who was fooled. 

Why was Sejin walking around like this? Suddenly stopping, Sunghee turned around towards him. She announced,

“I will buy you one of those T-shaped rulers. You can tape it on your back to correct your posture.”

“This is a 10-year-old habit. I doubt it can be fixed.”

Sejin shrugged and walked up to him. It was no wonder she found him so big in bed. It was because he really was a tall guy.

“So why do you walk around all hunched up like that? I just don’t get it. Isn’t it nice to be tall? I mean… Look at my shoes. I’m wearing these, so I look taller.”

“Imagine being a sixth grader who’s 180 cm. Do you have any idea how hard it was? Kids can be so cruel.”

His eyes darkened a little. Sunghee blinked. 180 cm in sixth grade? Wow, who was this man? Was his father a basketball player or something?

“Just because your body matures fast, doesn’t mean your mind follows suit. I was a sixth grader in a grown man’s body. I would get on the bus, and the bus driver would refuse to accept the kid’s fare from me. So I began to cringe as much as possible to look small, and over time, it became a bad habit.”

Sunghee stared at him quietly. She now understood why he kept his distance from other people around him. Traumatic childhood memories were hard to overcome sometimes. She shouldn’t have felt sympathetic towards him, but she did. 

Sunghee wanted to give him a hug and console him… Goodness, what was wrong with her? She wasn’t his girlfriend, so why would she feel this way?!

She shook her head and sighed. 

“There must’ve been other guys your height by the time you reached high school or university.”

“Yeah, but by that time, it was too late to break this habit. I tried, but it seemed useless especially whenever I got tired.”

“But you seem like you’re always hunched at work even when you aren’t tired.”

When Sunghee mumbled, Sejin gave her a thin smile.

“Well, like you said before, I’m an outcast and a loser, so I don’t exactly enjoy going to work.”

“Stop with that outcast talk! How many times do I have to apologize?! And besides, you have to admit that you do act anti-social at work.”

She narrowed her eyes and kept walking. Sejin tried to straighten his shoulders as he followed her.

“Sunghee, I just don’t like the people I’m working with. If being quiet around the people I don’t care for is considered an outcast-like behavior, then I guess I am.”

“Why don’t you like them? Everyone at the office is great.”

“I just don’t like the fact that I’m there. It’s my position that I don’t like, not the people. So I suppose I’m the problem, not our co-workers.”

Sejin said to her and looked up at the department store building. He glanced at her with a seductive look and asked, 

“Hmm, I wonder if they have a store for sexy lingerie in there.”

Feeling herself blushing, Sunghee stabbed him with her elbow.

“What are you saying? Just forget about it. Please!”

“But don’t they say women enjoy pretty lingeries? I will buy you some as a thank-you for coming here with me. Hmm, how about a garterbelt?! A black garterbelt, a pair of matching stockings, and… What was that thing I ripped last time? What is it called?”

“Just forget about it, Sejin.”

Sunghee kept saying no, but even as she did, she giggled. She couldn’t believe they were having this conversation. To be honest…  she did want to try some sexy underwear for once in her life. The kind that would make men drool… The kind you would only see in movies…

Fine! She was going to do it. It seemed Sejin wanted her to try it, so why not? Sunghee told herself she was doing this for Sejin, not for herself.
