If they turn out to be guilty of such a thing, things would be really bad for them. They were maids who had signed a death pact, so no one would question anything even if their masters wanted to kill them just because their masters were in a bad mood. 

Two of the maids turned pale immediately. They burst into tears and hit their heads desperately on the floor as they cried, “Please spare our lives, Eldest Lady.”

“The third lady in the front yard needed more hands to move rooms, and we were asked to help. Please forgive us, Eldest Lady. We won’t do it again.”

After Su Kui heard that, she smiled instead of flying into a rage. Her slanted eyes were incredibly charming. “Oh? Who does Feng Qingqing, a mistress’ child, think she is? After listening to the whole story, Mrs. Gu was enraged, and she charged at the girls who were still kneeling on the ground. She kicked them down, pointed at their nose, and yelled, “How dare you, you treacherous wenches! She waved her hand and said to the two old maids, “Bring them out, lock them up in the woodshed, and hit them hard. We’ll determine what to do with them once I ask the old madam for instructions!”
