Outside the Wangji Rice Shop, quite a few servants from the Wu Residence had gathered, all sent by Old Master Wu to intimidate Wang Meng and his party. Wang Meng had found some people to back him up. However, because of what Gu Ya said, Wang Meng didn’t let his backup take action, opting to hold off and wait for brother-in-law Gu Ya’s return before deciding whether to engage in a fight with the servants from Old Master Wu’s residence.

In reality, according to Wang Meng’s preference, he thought that having a good and proper fight, teaching Old Master Wu’s men a lesson, would have been truly satisfying.

Gu Ya, with his men, returned to the Wangji Rice Shop, and Wang Meng asked him, “Brother-in-law, how did it go? Did Old Master Wu agree to withdraw his people from his residence?”

Gu Ya was seventy to eighty percent certain.

After Gu Ya left, Old Master Wu weighed the situation carefully. Was what his son, Wu Min, had done really such a big deal? It was nothing more than being detained for some time before he could be released.
