On the third day, early in the morning.

Hearing the teasing in that remark, Luo En looked up gloomily at his undutiful daughter:

“Heluo, have you been feeling itchy lately? Shall I give it a rub?”

Feeling the full malice in that gaze, Heluo instinctively stiffened and quickly coughed to change the subject:

“By the way, father, those little friends of yours came back last night too, they seem to have something they want to discuss with you. But seeing you were busy, I settled them in other rooms. Now that you’re awake, I’ll go and inform them right away!”

With that, Heluo quickly leapt away from the courtyard before her father could become difficult.

Watching that swiftly retreating figure, Luo En shook his head with regret.

Children grow up, they’ve become much smarter than before, and are increasingly hard to deal with.

Moments later, Heluo returned to the courtyard with Celebrian, Rose, and Xili.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Celebrian got straight to the point:

“I am here to bid you farewell and hope you will permit it.”

“Leaving? Why?”

Luo En set down his teacup, showing a hint of surprise.

Celebrian nodded, exchanged a look with Xili behind her, and then spoke somewhat embarrassedly:

So, Xili and I have discussed it and decided to take our own paths to grow as quickly as possible, so we can be worthy to stand by your side and fulfill the vows we have made.”

Luo En listened, unsurprised.

Xili was outstanding, as was Celebrian; all these young girls gathered around him were exceptional.

And the more exceptional people are, the prouder they are at heart.

“You might die.”

“Every mortal eventually dies. To fall on the right path is an honor.”

Listening to Celebrian’s firm reply, Luo En momentarily saw familiar figures in this Elf Girl, resonating with the past.
