The city lord boarded the city wall and looked out at the devil army outside the city. Suddenly, he
found that several fast and untraceable gures were shuttling back and forth among countless
troops.
“City lord? Who are those people?” The soldiers in the bloody battle looked at the chaotic devil army
in disbelief.
They did not see the large army of the alliance. They did not even know the identity of the other party.
Shen Yanxiao had once issued a strict order. Before the decisive battle, no one was allowed to ght head-on with the devil army. After the rst confrontation in the Desert City, no group had ever violated Shen Yanxiao’s order. Every city had relied mainly on the defensive war of attrition. support them, they would inict more damage to the devils in the city. At one command, the soldiers from top to bottom were as excited as if they had been injected with
chicken blood. They didn’t want to leave at all. They wanted to ght the devils to the end, to avenge
their brothers and their comrades!
In an instant, the whole city’s momentum had been greatly improved. The long-ranged attacks become more erce; Knights, Swordsmen, and Priests began to pour into the wall and repel the devil to protect their comrades.
The devil army outside the city was in a mess. They had no idea what had happened. Originally, they were about to break through the city in front of them; but then, several killing gods
suddenly appeared from who knew where and brought about a terrible disaster for their army. All the devils were in a state of confusion and disorder; the other party’s speed was so great that
they didn’t even have the chance to catch the opponent’s shadow.
These several mysterious gures had caused the devil troops, which had run rampant in the Barren
Land without any obstruction, to encounter the worst nightmare in history.
The other party was obviously targeting their commanders.
The rst thing that made the devils realize that there had been a sudden strike was their commander in charge of directing the battle. His head had been cut o in front of their eyes in a ash and his sturdy body fell straight down from his demon beast’s back; the glaring blood left the devil soldiers, who were waiting to break through the city gate, completely startled. Despite being guarded by such a large army, their commander, right in front of their eyes, was beheaded, and none of them could nd a single sign of the other party. Chaos ensued. Immediately afterwards, all the devils wearing the badges of high-ranking military ocers were hunted and killed. One by one, they were decapitated. The devils were thoroughly
shocked. They could not nd the killer. The only things they could see were the lightning-fast shadows ashing among their ranks
