When Li An’an turned around and saw Chu Yichen standing behind her. He bent over slightly and leaned forward as if he was looking at her cooking. When she straightened up, she bumped into him.

Chu Yichen was wearing a black shirt and trousers of the same color. He held his coat with one hand and supported her with the other. “Had a fright? Or are you throwing yourself at me? I’d prefer the latter.”

Li An’an rolled her eyes at him. “I’m sorry to disappoint you. It’s obvious that it was the former. Food is ready. Aren’t you hungry? Hurry up and eat. I have something to attend to later!”

There was still an hour and a half before it was time for her to pick up the children. She could not stay here for too long.

Chu Yichen replied, “Okay, I’ll go wash my hands.” Although he said that he was going to wash his hands, he walked upstairs and did not come down for a long time.

Just as Li An’an got impatient and was about to look for him, Chu Yichen came downstairs. He had changed into a light gray shirt and black suit pants, his hair was wet. His face looked pale against his jet black hair, and his eyes were dark and sharp, making him seem completely unruly.

Li An’an thought for a moment. There was still so much food left anyway, so she filled a bowl of rice for herself. She sat in front of him and ate with him.

Chu Yichen seemed really hungry. He ate quickly and did not speak until he finished two bowls of rice. Then he put down his bowl and chopsticks. He poured himself a glass of water before sitting down beside Li An’an, watching her eat.

Li An’an had something on her mind, so she ate slowly. She was chewing a piece of pork rib when Chu Yichen came to sit down next to her. Her gaze shifted from the bowl to him, and looked at him in confusion.

His gaze was fixed on the pork ribs in her mouth.

She took a bite and spoke.. “You like this piece of pork rib?”
