Chapter 20: School Entrance Test

Steve continued researching, but couldn’t find a better school than the one that Mrs. Kelly recommended. Besides this school, the other schools around C City didn’t seem to have good teaching quality and service.
Steve sat in front of the computer for a long time. When he thought about how Sheila would have to go to the same school as Randall, Steve was very annoyed.
He didn’t want to hurt Sheila. Even if she had to go to the same school as Randall, he still wanted her to go to the best school in the area.
I sat on the couch and watched Steve’s expression as I ate the dessert that Mrs. Kelly had just sent over. Seeing the way my uncle had treated Mrs. Kelly just now and the look on his face, I knew he didn’t want me to go to school with Randall/
I didn’t want to go to school either. Although I was in the body of a five-year-old kid, I was actually a top student in finance at a prestigious university.
Just the thought of having to learn something so simple with a bunch of kids made me feel ashamed, and the thought of it gave me goosebumps.
Instead of going to school with a bunch of kids, I would rather stay by Uncle Steve’s side and work in the business world to achieve my dream of becoming a financial magnate.
I was full of enthusiasm and fighting spirit. I looked around, picked up the dessert, and walked over to Uncle Steve. I reached out my small hand and handed the dessert to Steve’s mouth. In a childish voice, I said, “Uncle, here you go.”
The gloomy look on Steve’s face disappeared the moment I walked over. He looked satisfied and doting as he lowered his head and ate the dessert.
While he was in a very happy mood, I opened my mouth and said, “Uncle, actually, can I not go to kindergarten? I am very smart. I would much rather learn from you.”
Steve’s relaxed expression was replaced by seriousness when he heard Sheila’s words. He reached out his hands and pulled me onto his lap and said earnestly, “Of course I know that you are very smart. You just helped me prevent billions of dollars in losses. I have to say, you are indeed very talented in the field of finance.”
Steve then said seriously, “But Sheila, you are very talented. That is why you need a good education and guidance. Moreover, you are still a child now. You are not even as tall as the reception table. How can you follow me to the sea of business? Therefore, your most important task now is to study. When you grow up, I will definitely help you make a name for yourself in the financial world.”
Although I had a million retorts in my mind, I couldn’t tell Steve that there was a mature soul in this cute little body, so I let Steve help me send an application email to the school.
I soon received a reply. Because the semester had already started, the school asked Steve to take me to school tomorrow morning to do a simple test. If I could pass it smoothly, I should be able to go to school next Monday.
Early the next morning, Steve helped me change into a pink princess dress. My messy black hair was tied up by a bright red pearl bow hairpin. Steve was very satisfied with the outfit he dressed me in. After a simple breakfast, he took me to school.
Steve briefly talked to the principal and started the day’s business — the entrance test.
The principal seemed very amiable. There were four other teachers in front of me. I sat quietly in my seat. After a while, the teacher brought me some papers and asked me to answer them.
As a top student in the finance department, the entrance exam questions were child’s play to me.
I finished all the exam papers in less than twenty minutes.. When I stood up and said to the teacher, “I’m done,” I could clearly feel a hint of disdain on his face, probably because he didn’t believe that I could do it properly in such a short time, but he quickly suppressed it.
