She held her breath as Lu Jingyao’s singing voice deepened. Following his acappella singing, all the lights suddenly brightened, and backup dancers flooded stage in an orderly manner. The fireworks on both sides of the stage went off and lit up the whole place.

Su Xia rolled her eyes at the way he asked despite knowing the answer. She pushed open the door without so much as a reply, gathered up her skirts, and said coolly, “You seem to be idling about every day. Is it because your popularity has declined or that you don’t have any more acting jobs? Can’t believe that the ex-king of historical dramas would stoop to the level of gossiping.”

Gu Yu touched his nose and let out a hearty laugh. “You’re anxious.”

Su Xia turned her head and smiled at him. “Get out.”

“Why.” She raised her eyebrows slightly. “Do you want to watch a girl change?”

Gu Yu shrugged. “I don’t mind.”

There was time for Su Xia to reply as Xue Mingan immediately took him by the shoulder and pushed him to the door. “Save your words for later, we’re busy here!”

Gu Yu, “…”

He got anxious. “Hey bro, you obviously have a changing room, and I was just kidding…”
