“Jian Jian, calm down!” Chu Liyuan quickly embraced Jian Dan.

“Calm down? How can I stay calm? We all know how dangerous this place is, and yet they still…”

“That’s precisely why I came! I’m here to reduce your danger,” Jian Xiaokai said seriously, meeting Jian Dan’s gaze. “Mom, you’re worried about our safety, but don’t you think we worry about yours too? I promise, the moment I complete what I need to do, we’ll leave immediately.”

Jian Dan looked into Jian Xiaokai’s earnest expression and hesitated.
