Tong Yi studied the instruction manual for digestive pills for a while but didn’t find anything unusual. She threw the medicine back into the bag and turned her head toward Lu Zhanbei. He had opened his eyes, so she casually asked him, “What did he mean just now?”

She had wanted to tease him, but she had not expected him to lean in so close to her. His eyes were dark and oppressive. For a moment, Tong Yi wanted to retreat but she forced herself to maintain her position. “What about the medicine?”
He enunciated each word clearly, “Emergency. Contraceptive. Pills.”
Chen Mu was so shocked that Master Bei had guessed it right that his hands trembled in fear, and the car swayed a little off track.
Tong Yi’s hand, which was supporting her face, slipped. She didn’t know if it was because of the sudden swaying of the car or because she was shocked by Lu Zhanbei’s words. She leaned forward and fell into Lu Zhanbei’s arms.
