Yu Liuli’s expression darkened, her face serious. “Kong Lin, don’t push your luck. You may be a divine beast, but in my eyes, you’re worthless. Don’t think you’re so pitiful.”

Ning Shu retorted, “Since I’m worthless, why don’t you just break the contract?”

Yu Liuli felt she was the unluckiest transmigrator.

“I was forced into this contract. I never wanted to be a contract beast. You coerced me into it and now demand so much,” Ning Shu said as she adjusted her dark green sleeves.

Yu Liuli angrily replied, “At the time, if I hadn’t contracted you, I would have died. I did it to protect myself. The strong prevail over the weak. Blame your own bad luck.”

“I know divine beasts are proud, but I still won’t break the contract because I’m afraid you’ll kill me.”

The contract was currently Yu Liuli’s lifeline.

First, it provided her with a powerful ally to protect her.

Second, it ensured the peacock wouldn’t turn on her and kill her.

While Yu Liuli was confident, she knew she wasn’t strong enough to face a divine beast head-on.
