Shen Chen shifted a little to rest her head against the rear window that had been lowered halfway. The night wind blew through the gap, sending messy strands of her long hair across her forehead. In spite of that, her beauty was not affected; on the contrary, it heightened her allure. 

“Face me.” His voice was extremely cold.

“What if I say no?” Shen Chen did not move her head. She was testing his limits with her aloofness.

Shi Yu had lived for 26 years, yet it was the first time someone had dared to defy him.

“You can try.” His voice could not have gotten any more disdainful. It was a brazen threat.

Shen Chen chuckled. “Try what? Sorry, I don’t have such a hobby!”

A bloodthirsty smile flickered at the corner of Shi Yu’s lips. His patience had obviously been exhausted.

The driver understood his master’s intention immediately after he made eye contact with Shi Yu through the rearview mirror.

He stepped on the brakes, parked the car by the road, then quickly got out.
