The drive was both fast and steady, and in the time it took Rong Yan to play a round of a mobile game, the car had already arrived at its destination.

“Miss Rong, we’ve arrived,” the driver said as he opened the car door for her.

“We have?”

“Yes, we have.”

“Oh, okay,” Rong Yan, still a bit disoriented, put away her phone, picked up the document bag beside her, and bent down to get out of the car.

As soon as she got out of the car, she breathed in the fresh air of the suburban area. The refreshing oxygen cleansed her lungs, and she felt so comfortable that she snapped out of her drowsiness.

Rong Yan shook the things in her hand and with a smile said, “I’m here to help Assistant Gu deliver something to you. Didn’t you ask him to send you some documents? He had a stomachache, and it happened that I was going to see you, so he asked me to deliver them instead. I didn’t come too slowly, did I delay your work?”
