Helplessly shrugging, she looked at Gu Chaoyan sympathetically.

Gu Chaoyan had already been unfortunate enough to join the Xing Sect and incur the displeasure of its Sect Leader. Her misfortune, however, continued to escalate.

After six grueling hours, the weary Sect Leader of Xing Sect finally released them.

“From now on, both of you will be responsible for cleaning the back mountain. Don’t cause any more trouble. If you do, I won’t hesitate to take severe measures,” the Sect Leader of Xing Sect declared.

In a more straightforward situation, expelling someone from the Sky Sect would be a minor consequence.

However, higher authorities didn’t permit it.
