Fang Xin listened quietly as she dug her fingers into her palm.

The pain made her especially clear-headed.

The door opened and the man walked out as if he was drunk. He pulled up his pants and bent towards Lu Ting and Fang Xin.

“Status report, mission accomplished.”

“Very well, you may leave now.”

Fang Xin coldly waved her hands and the bodyguards made way for the man. He left the villa hurriedly, not daring to look back.

As for Fang Xin, she stood up nonchalantly.

“Ting, I’m going to see my stepsister.”

She went straight into the room and saw Zhang Qian lying naked on the bed and staring blankly.

Zhang Qian’s clothes were torn and thrown on the floor. There red marks on her wrists and ankles from rope abrasion stood out against her fair skin.

Her gaze moved down to her lower body, which was in a mess. Fishy smelling, viscous white fluids were everywhere.

It was indeed a miserable sight.

Fang Xin beckoned a bodyguard over who then wrapped Zhang Qian in some clothes before throwing her out of the room.

“Send her and Chen Yu to Zhang Bo’s place. Tell him not to get a divorce.”

After saying that, Fang Xin glanced at the room again in disgust.

“Throw away all the furniture here and clean the room. Repaint the walls.”

The bodyguards concurred. Four of them took Zhang Qian and Chen Yu away while the rest got in touch with the housekeeping staff.

They were busy in the villa. Fang Xin took a deep breath to calm herself down and looked at Lu Ting.

“Let’s go back.”

Head back to the Lu residence first. The three little fellows must be worried sick.

Lu Ting nodded and brought her to the car.

The car drove steadily on the road. There was a gap in the window and a cool breeze blew in, tousling Fang Xin’s hair.

Her hair brushed past her face, bringing with it a tingling sensation. She was a little absent-minded and turned to look at him.

So, it was him. Thankfully, it was him.

She did not mistakenly give her body to someone else.

“What are you looking at?”

Lu Ting asked as he drove, his gaze inadvertently on her.

“You.”

Fang Xin lowered her head and laughed self-deprecatingly. “I was so stupid. I didn’t care about anything back then and just took off. And this caused us to miss out on five whole years.”

“It’s not your fault.”

Lu Ting said softly and pulled the car over.

This was the main road in the suburbs and traffic was light. He held Fang Xin’s hand and sighed.

Fang Xin didn’t know it was him. Her mind was in a mess, and she left tormented. It was not her fault. If this happened to him, he wouldn’t be able to face her and would have chosen to escape too.

“Ting, I’ve been thinking about you for the past five years.”

Fang Xin leaned on Lu Ting’s shoulder. Her eyelashes fluttered slightly and tears gathered in her eyes.

She would think of him whenever she has a minute to herself.

Lu Ting was the only thing she cared about in the country besides avenging her mother.

“Me too.”

Lu Ting put his arm around her shoulder and inhaled the familiar scent of her body. There was a familiar flame rising in his lower abdomen.

He wanted her.

The temperature around him rose uncontrollably. Lu Ting could no longer restrain himself. He kissed Fang Xin hard and rolled up all the car windows.

The car plunged into darkness instantly.
