“Can you settle the bill on our behalf first? I’ll pay you back later,” Bai Wenping said with a smile.

Bai Wenping could do nothing but comply with her wish. “All right, then. Go now. I’ll wait for you.”

Yun Wei turned around and walked into the lady’s toilet.

With a smile on her face, she turned around and looked in the direction of the private dining room that she’d just left and gave a little shrug.

Turning around, she fell straight into someone’s open arms.

“Master Ting.” Yun Wei hadn’t expected Lu Zhanting to make an appearance here.

Lu Zhanting had a business meeting to attend to and had asked his personal assistant to be at Yun Wei’s side.

He had rushed over to the hotel as soon as he could, but Yun Wei had already gotten herself out of the trap that had been laid for her.

Smiling, he asked, “I thought you had a prior arrangement? Why are you leaving so soon?”

Yun Wei smiled radiantly. “It’s all been taken care of.”

Lu Zhanting had learned from his personal assistant what Bai Wenping and Hua Shasha were scheming to do. He hadn’t thought that Yun Wei would sort everything out herself so quickly.

“Don’t you want to stay and watch the show?” Lu Zhanting asked, extending his hand.

“Why not?” Yun Wei extended her hand to him.

Lu Zhanting led Yun Wei to another private dining room.

Compared to the noisy atmosphere in the other private room, this one was quietly elegant and very soothing.

In a gentlemanly fashion, Lu Zhanting pulled out a chair for Yun Wei to get her seated.

Earlier, Yun Wei hadn’t had her fill of the food, but now that she’d decided to stay, her mood changed for the better.

Lu Zhanting ordered a few delectable dishes and a fruit juice for Yun Wei.

This time, Yun Wei was really in the mood to enjoy the delicious food.
