“Sorry.” Su Zhixi gently said the word.

Ning Yichen was stunned, seeming to not have expected her to bend so quickly.

“Since I’ve apologized, can you let go of me?” she said, smiling.

It was only then that he realized that he was still holding on to her hand.

He supported Su Lianxi and they left the cafe as he tried to break free of that odd feeling nagging at the back of his mind.

She felt a searing pain in her right palm. In accordance with Newton’s third law of counteraction, her own palm swelled even though she’d slapped her younger sister.

However, she was feeling greatly refreshed.

She placed her right palm by her lips and blew into it. Suddenly, from the corner of her eye, she spotted a familiar silhouette.

She stopped in her tracks and saw Uncle Li, who was in a suit, smiling and walking to her. “Ms. Su, we meet again.”

She hurriedly scanned her surroundings and found a black Bentley under a camphor tree.

She was slightly pissed and replied coldly, “Who are you?”

Uncle Li smiled and replied, “It doesn’t matter who I am. Ms. Su, please get in the car.”

She gritted her teeth and turned around, ignoring him.

He Jingyao was really going overboard! When she helped him last night, did he not promise her that he would pretend not to know her in the future?

As she thought about what happened in the bathroom last night, her face started to flush before she knew it.
