Chapter 42: Just a Tool to Make Money!

Director Huang, who was very straightforward, was infuriated by the threat. “Draw out from the investment then. Hah! I—Huang Kai, don’t believe that I can’t gather enough capital to shoot a TV series!”

After hearing Director Huang’s words, Mr. Yang anxiously shouted, “Director Huang!”

Director Huang snorted. His messy hair made him look as sloppy as a beggar.

Mr. Yang looked at Bai Yujie again, and said, “Miss Bai, this is clearly your responsibility, and since Mr. Feng had already invested in this, you should’ve kept your promise.”

After Bai Yujie heard that, she snorted. “Let’s ask about it then!”

Then, she picked up the phone and called Feng Ziqian.

“Brother Ziqian, can you come over to the set? It’s about the TV series you invested in. Something went wrong.”

After the call, she crossed her hands and stood there as if she was waiting for drama to unfold. She saw Director Huang’s expression change from anger to distress. She spoke slowly. “Actually, this is not a big issue—it’s only a delay. There aren’t many Qiong Hua scenes, so we could just work overtime and probably complete it within two hours.”

She raised her chin and glanced over at An Mu.

Director Huang was furious. “The actress will not be changed!”

An Mu looked at the chaotic mess in the studio. She neither responded nor spoken.

Even if Feng Ziqian came over, and Bai Yujie got the character back, she was not at a loss.

At least Director Huang would have felt that he owed her. If there were future opportunities, he would contact her.

Feng Ziqian was in his car, and it stopped at each of the filming crew they passed by.

The driver looked at him and asked, “Young Master, who are you looking for?”

As long as one was not blind, one could tell that Feng Ziqian was searching for somebody.

Unfortunately, even after two days of patrolling, there was still no sign of her. After asking several people, nobody knew of this person named Tang Xia.

‘Were they blind?’

While he was in the middle of his upsetting thoughts, Bai Yujie called. Since the set was nearby, Feng Ziqian agreed to have a look.

After hanging up on Bai Yujie, a phone call from home came.

Feng Zian picked up the phone, and Su Meihui’s voice was transmitted through it. “Ziqian, did you manage to contact An Mu?”

Feng Ziqian felt annoyed once he heard her name.

Why must such a weak, incompetent, and ugly woman be related to him?

He spoke impatiently, “No. Mother, Can’t you be the one to call her? Why does it have to be me?”

Su Meihui comforted him. “I did call, but surprisingly, she didn’t pick up the phone. I was thinking, did she discover something already?”

Those words made Feng Ziqian burst into laughter. “Mother, as long as she’s not a fool, who would give up their money so willingly, huh?”

Su Meihui said, “Aren’t she already a fool for you? We could’ve already transferred the money from the An family just from her being so madly attached to you!”

Feng Ziqian’s forehead twitched. “Mother, I don’t care. I will not marry that ugly monster. It’s up to you. I have other things to do, I’ll hang up first.”

After that, he hung up the phone.

Feng Ziqian felt inexplicably frustrated.

He looked like he was a Young Master from high society, but who would have known that to his parents, he was just a tool to make money!

“Young Master, we’ve arrived at the set.”

The driver reminded him. Feng Ziqian came back to his senses and stepped down from the car impatiently.
