Chapter 19: The University Interview

“Catherine?” Claude stopped beside Nina. “You have good taste. This is the person from LG University that I’m most curious about. I’ve been searching for this lady to do a special interview for a long time, but I have yet to find her.”

He noticed that Nina was still staring at the picture frame and introduced her. “Catherine made history when she completed her studies at LG University in the shortest time possible. Apparently, it took her only a year and a half to complete all her courses. She majored in computer engineering and philosophy, and in particular, was awarded the highest grades from all the professors. She’s a sheer genius in both arts and science.

“Unfortunately, she disappeared after attaining the highest achievement in LG University. No one knows where she went, much less what profession she went into.

“Some people speculated that she’s part of the Gallianos, but this surname is not rare. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence?”

Claude seemed as if he was chatting with Nina and also talking to himself.

“Maybe,” Nina responded flatly.

Claude blinked at Nina. “You know, some people said that Catherine was only 14 when she enrolled in LG University. This means that she attained the highest achievement and graduated at 15! Of course, there’s no evidence to prove this. The school isn’t willing to reveal anything about this person. It’s all too mysterious.”

Claude looked yearning.

Nina smiled back noncommittally.

Claude thought she didn’t believe what he said, but this Miss Galliano had indeed been painted as a mysterious legend.

It could be difficult to believe.

Outside the office, on a chair in the waiting area…

Nina wore a black T-shirt and white slacks today. Her hair was casually tied back in a ponytail, revealing a fair, delicate face.

Her eyelashes were very long, and when she gently lowered her eyelids, they covered her blue eyes. She looked like a beautiful girl who had never experienced any worldly problems.

The short-sleeved black T-shirt revealed half of her bony forearm and its crystal clear skin. She looked soft and weak.

She sat there with her head lowered, staring at the tips of her shoes as if deep in thought.

Claude fiddled with his phone for a while, then turned to look at Nina’s side profile. Fine strands of hair fell around her face, contrasting sharply with her white skin.

He suddenly realized that his sister was quite pretty.

Although Claude had noticed that Nina was beautiful when they first met, her untidy attire reduced her beauty significantly.

After today’s close observation, he realized that there was something different about her beauty. It was a type of distant and cold beauty.

However, when he remembered what she had said to Mary the day before, Claude found it hard to indulge in this beauty any further.

He thought Nina might be mentally ill.

In any case, she did not fall under the category of normal people.

Perhaps her personality became strange because she went missing when she was younger and had gone through some hardships.

With that thought in mind, Claude even felt sorry for Nina.

“Nina Jowett.”

Someone walked out and shouted Nina’s name.

Claude whispered behind her, “Be confident. It’ll be fine.”

Nina disappeared through the office door.

Claude sighed.

LG University was recognized as one of the top universities in America. It had the most dazzling presence in Boston’s education sector. Given Nina’s portfolio, it would not be easy to enter this school.
