Chapter 1066: Chapter 1066: An Unconventional Date

The Lincoln outside the door had been waiting for a long time. As soon as they arrived, the driver immediately stepped forward to help open the car door.

“Master Jue, Miss Chi.”

Chi Enen saw this setup and knew right away that he had arranged for the driver to wait here in advance, which made her even more curious about where he was planning to take her.

The Lincoln was renowned among luxury cars for its spacious and comfortable interior. The car drove smoothly all the way.

Before long, it arrived at a relatively quiet intersection in the city area.

The driver parked the car on the opposite side of the road, got out, tapped his shoes as he walked over, and respectfully opened the car door. “Master Jue, we’ve arrived.”

“Chi Enen, get out.” Li Beijue stepped out first.

Chi Enen followed him and got out of the car.

The intersection didn’t seem to be near any notable locations–there weren’t any clubs at the doorway nor hotels nearby. She couldn’t figure out why Li Beijue had stopped the car here.

“Master Jue, here’s the item you requested.” The driver handed over a black baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses.

“Mm.” Li Beijue took the items and wore them immediately.

With the brim pressed down, most of his handsome face was hidden. After putting on the sunglasses, only the curve of his chin was visible.

Chi Enen, seeing him voluntarily gear up like this for the first time, hadn’t yet processed the sight when her left hand was suddenly grabbed by the scorching heat of the man’s big palm.

Li Beijue held her hand in his large hand, feeling the soft warmth of her delicate palm. He appeared to be in a good mood, curling his rosy thin lips into a smile before speaking cheerfully, “Let’s go.”

Chi Enen had no choice but to follow him.

His tall frame and long legs meant that each of his steps required her to take a step and a half to catch up. Fortunately, Li Beijue seemed to notice this and walked at a slower pace.

Following his lead, they crossed the road, and she immediately felt as though she had entered an entirely different world.

Compared to the quiet atmosphere on the opposite side of the road, this area was bustling with activity. The streets were alive with clusters of young people, and countless shops lined both sides, one after another.

It seemed like they were in the city center’s pedestrian street.

Chi Enen hadn’t strolled around a street like this in ages, let alone done so hand in hand with someone. A long-forgotten feeling washed over her.

She couldn’t help but steal a few extra glances at the various colorful shops lining the street.

“What’s that shop selling?” she asked unintentionally, noticing the crowd bustling in and out of a particularly busy storefront.

Li Beijue glanced in the direction she had indicated and, sure enough, saw many people in line. Seeing how interested she was, he decided to pull her along without a second thought toward the shop. “Let’s go take a look!”

They joined the back of the line, with over ten people ahead of them.

After lining up for a few minutes, Chi Enen, worried he might lose patience, hesitated and said, “There are so many people, Li Beijue. How about we skip this? Let’s not bother.”

“We’re already here, so there’s no rush.” Besides, wasn’t she curious? If she wanted to see, then they’d stay until she did!

Even with his casual attire, Li Beijue’s tall, lean figure and long legs caught attention. Though his face was hidden with a cap, the girls in front who overheard his voice couldn’t help but turn their heads.

The moment they caught sight of him, they froze briefly, astonishment flashing in their eyes.

Soon, a few of the girls began gathering together, whispering and giggling amongst themselves without any restraint.

They laughed while sneaking glances in Li Beijue’s direction.

Chi Enen noticed that most of those glances were aimed squarely at Li Beijue!

Feeling mildly annoyed, she looked up discreetly and whispered, “But it looks like the line is going to take forever. I don’t want to wait.”

Li Beijue’s eyebrows furrowed. The chatter of the women ahead was grating on his nerves, to the point where he wanted to yell at them to be quiet. But upon hearing Chi Enen’s words, his deep black obsidian pupils narrowed. He released her hand and commanded domineeringly, “You go wait on the side. I’ll handle the line!”
