It was dark. I couldn’t see anything. Well, that’s given. It’s because I’m blind. That’s why I’ve always kept my eyes closed.

My whole body ached as if I was beaten and I felt like I am about to break from this tormenting pain.Oh, that’s right. I died.

Then suddenly, I heard something.

“It looks like he’s breathing.”

“Seems like he’s regaining his consciousness too.”

“Hey! Open your eyes!”

Open my eyes? Are they talking to me? How can I?

With these thoughts, I opened my eyes.

“Woah!”

The sight of the world entered my view. I can see. My eyes can see! What in the world happened?

Slowly, I sat up and glanced at the people looking at me from afar.

I can tell just by the look in their eyes that their glances do not harbor any goodwill nor worry. Instead, it contained pity, derision and contempt.

“Are you alright?”

A man stepped forward and asked. I looked at him and for some reason, he seemed very familiar. However, I couldn’t tell where I met him.

It was almost as if he was buried somewhere deep with my memories.

Then I saw something on top of his head.

“Choi Chang Soo?”

The man, Choi Chang Soo’s face wrinkled up with utter disgust.

“What did you just call me? Choi Chang Soo? Am I your friend? This bastard must have lost his mind after passing out!”

There’s nothing wrong with what I said.  All I did was read the translucent text above his head.

Then I checked my surroundings again and noticed that I could see the names of the six people encircling me above their heads.

I calmly glanced at them while I was trying to interpret the situation that I was in.

First, I can see the names of other people.

Second, I used to be blind, but now I can see clearly.

Third, I died.

Fourth, I have no idea where this is. Am I in heaven? Or is this hell?

“Let’s just leave him here. We’ll all die with him holding our ankles. A dungeon is not a playground for kids. Let him survive on his own.”

That’s when I realized where I was.

I was in a dungeon.

I died in a dungeon and was revived. However, it looked a whole lot different than the one I died in.

Choi Chang Soo seemed like he was thinking about something. He looked back at me and asked, “Can you keep up with us?”

Obviously, I didn’t reply. What part of you should I trust? Also, the way the others are looking at me, made me doubt him even more.

Because I didn’t respond, Choi Chang Soo shook his head.

“Since we’re not deep inside, you can make it back if you’re careful enough. Think you can do that?”

It seems that he decided to abandon me. And again, I didn’t reply. It was because I haven’t even decided on what to do to begin with.

But without considering my opinion, Chang Soo and his group seemed to have already made their decision as they’ve started to walk away.

After they left, I took some time to analyze my own situation.

And then, something even more baffling happened.
