Turning a bright scarlet instantly, she said angrily, “Ming Siran, don’t you know how to knock?”

“I did, you didn’t hear it.” The man showed no signs of retreating even as she tried to cover herself. Instead, he strode in with his lanky legs, bent over and swept her up into his arms.

Luo Qiao’s back stiffened as she froze. The man had picked her up like he was picking up a cat. He didn’t put her down onto the bed. Instead, he stared at her without shifting his position.

For once, he wasn’t wearing a tie. His expression was relaxed and his peach blossom eyes were slightly narrowed. He was inexplicably attractive.

Luo Qiao could smell alcohol on him. She widened her eyes. “You’ve been drinking?”

He replied in his seductive voice, “Uh huh.”

Luo Qiao demanded, “Let me down!”

In a daze, she seemed to have heard him chuckle as he let go of one of his hands. In a panic, Luo Qiao reflexively put her arms around his neck and yelled, “What are you doing!”

Her lipstick was a little smudged and he reached out to gently rub it. “You even have makeup on, huh?”

It was an ordinary gesture but when he did it, it was ridiculously suggestive.

With her back tense like she was ready for battle, Luo Qiao retorted, “I haven’t seen you in two or three years, you’re becoming less and less human.”

It was only after he stared at her to his heart’s content that he put her down on the bed. Immediately, she took a pillow and aimed it at his face.

The man tilted his head and easily dodged it. His lanky body hovered by the bed, one hand in his trouser pocket. Taking out a key from his pocket, he placed it on the table. “This is the key to the garage, you can pick any of the cars to use.”

“Why should I use your car?”

His only reply was a smirk. “I have no objections if you want to pay me a rental fee.”

Luo Qiao was speechless.

The following day, Luo Qiao met up with Mu Lan to celebrate as promised. They went for good food and a soak in the hot spring after that and had fun until 9 in the evening.

She got a massage therapist in to give her a massage on her shoulders while Mu Lan tut-tutted from the side, “So this is the sort of simple and dull life that you wealthy people live.”

Luo Qiao, with her long legs, slender waist and glowing skin, did not look up. She hummed, “It’s really comfortable, try it.”

Mu Lan shook her head and said, “No way, I’m ticklish.” She took out her cell phone and sat by the side surfing Weibo and reading flattering comments from the netizens. She amused herself for a while before she surfed onto a new site – Zhang Lingling’s new Weibo post.

Mu Lan’s heart skipped a beat. What evil was Zhang Lingling the two-faced bitch up to now? As she scrolled to the comments. Her fans too, were bewildered and stunned.
