Jason watched the subtle changes in her facial expressions, knowing his words had taken effect.

“Kick him out of the team. Keeping such a risk is too dangerous,” Jason said. “If something happens to you, the team captaincy will go to him, and the record scores will be his too. Natasha, you must carefully consider this.”

Natasha looked uncertain.

“I’ll go now. You get some rest,” Jason stood up, “I’ll come see you again tomorrow. If you’ve made up your mind, my teammates and I will fill the remaining slots, and we’ll give you the strategy, too. With the strategy, we’ll soon be out of this godforsaken place. Natasha stared blankly at him.

Jason walked out of the ward and saw Natasha’s teammates were still outside.

He had nothing to say to them, glanced indifferently, and walked straight past them, leaving the hospital.

Bai Youwei glanced at his back, then returned to the ward with Shen Mo and Ada.

Natasha lay quietly on the bed, her eyes still empty, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Bai Youwei approached calmly and asked, “How did it go? Did he tell you that Ada is the most suspicious?”

Natasha nodded tiredly.

Ada snorted coldly: “The thief cries catch the thief.”

Natasha remained silent.

Bai Youwei looked carefully at her expression, knowing that Natasha was hesitating.

Despite having warned her beforehand, she was still influenced by Jason’s words. After all, people tend to trust those they’ve known for a longer time.

Ada seemed to realize this too and frowned, asking Natasha, “No way, you really believe him?”

Natasha replied softly, “I don’t know…”

Ada was shocked, and ultimately cursed, “Fuck”.

–Natasha saying ‘I don’t know’ implies she wavered! If she believed Ada, she should have straightly answered ‘I don’t trust him,’ not ‘I don’t know’!

Ada was stunned, staring bewildered at Bai Youwei.

Natasha was also stunned; she thought Bai Youwei would speak for Ada.

Shen Mo nodded slightly, “Yeah, that might be best.”

Ada, both confused and angry: “How can you agree to this? Are you really thinking Yuri was killed by me? Is this how you see me? Hey! Where’s the evidence?… Oh! No need for evidence, you just imagine things, right?!!”

“Kicking you out is for your own good,” Bai Youwei said calmly, “Firstly, leaving the team might help prove your innocence; secondly, it’ll make Natasha safer.”

“Safer?” Ada couldn’t accept this, “Kicking me out to bring that sneaky guy into the team, having Natasha stay around that kind of person every day, are you sure that’s safer? What a joke!”

Shen Mo said indifferently, “Jason’s goal is the record. Once you’re out, he’ll have to ensure Natasha’s safety, otherwise, if the team dissolves, it’ll all be for nothing.”

Ada was stunned, slowly catching on, “So that’s your plan…”

“But this plan can only last one month,” Bai Youwei said. “Once they’ve been in the team for a month, they’ll get rid of Natasha and replace her with their own people. Of course, before that, they’ll try to deal with me and Shen Mo in the dungeons.”
