Chapter 22: Did Not Care if Gideon Liked Her

Freya failed to detect the anger on Gideon’s face and the cold look he was sending her way.

Just as Isaac was about to agree, Gideon stood in front of Freya, so that she was unable to see Isaac.

The woman finally realized that Gideon looked even angrier than he did when he was talking to her outside the residence earlier. Three words came out of his mouth glacially. “No, you can’t.”
The moment he finished his sentence, he added and said, “There are rules in this household.”

Freya was thinking about how to retort to the man, when Isaac suddenly got up and walked over. He stood beside Gideon with his elbow leaning against Gideon’s shoulder. “Gideon, do you have to be so serious? You just scared her.”
Freya secretly liked Isaac already.

Gideon glanced at the man.

Isaac was unaffected by Gideon’s cold look. He turned to look at Freya. “Do you know who I am?”

Freya could not help saying excitedly, “That goes without saying. You are a big hit. All my friends and I are big fans of yours.”

She remained excited. “Can you give me your autograph? No, wait, can I have two?”

“No problem.” Isaac smiled warmly. If not for the people standing here, Freya really wanted to give the man a hug.

“If we knew Freya liked idols, we should have just let her marry Isaac.”

The smile on Freya’s face dissipated a lot when she heard this. She turned towards the source of the voice and saw a girl leaning against the couch sitting languidly.

She had fair, flawless skin and her chestnut hair was tied in a bun at the top of her head making her seem energetic and youthful

The moment Freya made eye contact with the girl, Gideon scolded her angrily. “Shut up!”

Madison seemed unaffected by Gideon. She blurted out. “Why should I? I was just speaking the truth. What would it matter since you don’t like her?”

“Madison!” This time, it was Evelyn speaking.

Charles was in such a foul mood that he was about to smack Madison. The moment he heard Evelyn’s rebuke, he snorted coldly at Madison.

“Fine. If you don’t like it, I will stop talking about it.”

“Ereya, Madison is just a kid. Don’t take her words to heart.”

Freya smiled. “I’m good.”

In reality, Madison was speaking the truth, but she did not care if Gideon liked her.

Ethan finally broke his silence and said, “Gideon, it’s Freya’s first time at the Carter residence, so why don’t you just spend the night here tonight? You can show her around tomorrow. This is her home too, so she should get to learn her way around.”
Charles seemed to like his eldest son’s suggestion and instantly warmed up to it.

Freya felt Ethan had the best posture in the household. Also, he gave off a particularly warm energy, unlike his brothers.

Despite the kind offer, she did not want to stay here. Also, wouldn’t she have to stay in the same room as Gideon if she did?

‘The man might just end up throwing her out of the room or find some way to abuse her.

If she were at Bay View Garden, she could at least stay out of sight and keep a distance from him.

Freya automatically looked sideways at Gideon and shook her head slightly as she cast him an imploring look. She kept hinting that she did not want to spend the night here.
However, Gideon mildly agreed to stay, without so much as looking at her or asking for her opinion.

Freya was powerless. She could only look at Ethan and chime in as she nodded. “Sure thing, Ethan..”
