“My identification? Won’t the website get suspicious?” I questioned.

“They won’t.”

“That’s good.”

I chewed on my fish, while my mind was still thinking about my identification.

Dacia was a mermaid from the underwater world. He was no different from a whale, a dolphin, or a tiger shark.

Who would care if a marine fish had identification or not?

But now that this “fish” had mixed into the crowd, if he didn’t have any identification, it might affect his daily life.

I wanted to make the business trip location overseas, but I was afraid the police would ask me for Dacia’s identification information to confirm his trip.

So I told them about Sifri Town, which was a little distance from Eureka. It would take at least three hours to drive there. That way, I shouldn’t arouse any suspicion from the police.

“I see. Come with us first,” the police said.

I left the company with the police while my colleagues watched.

When we reached the police station, I took my statement as the police had told me. Then they told me to sit and wait. They said they had something to do and would be back in a minute.

In the end, I waited at the police station for the entire day and didn’t eat lunch.

During that time, other police officers came over and asked who I was waiting for. I told them the truth. They just nodded and told me to continue waiting.

Dacia called me twice but I didn’t answer. He must be anxious. And I wasn’t any better than he was.

It was only when it was past nine in the evening that the two policemen who had asked me to wait for them returned.

They looked at me like I was an alien and said in surprise, “My God! How could I have forgotten you?”

“Sorry, Madam. The police station is too busy today.”
