Chapter 13: Dacia

I thought about it for a while and felt that every name I thought of was very ordinary. They weren’t worthy of his extraordinary identity.

So I turned on my computer and found a bunch of very stylish male names.

From A to Z, there were 26 categories.

Soon, I was dazzled. I thought many names were pretty good.

The merman himself came over and pointed to a list of names starting with D.

I looked closely at the names that started with the letter D, and the merman beside me suddenly said, “Dacia.”

“Then let’s call you Dacia.” I agreed with his suggestion and glanced at the computer again.

Wait a minute, I don’t think there’s a name like Dacia in the names that start with D!

I thought I’d missed it, but I checked it again and again. There really wasn’t any Dacia!

Could it be that his intelligence had already developed to the point where he could create his own name?

This rate of improvement was too terrifying!

Mermaids were indeed a magical species with outstanding intelligence.

Soon, two and a half days had passed since the three days Daniel said.

Perhaps it was because he was too tired from studying, but Dacia’s appetite had grown.

I had no choice but to go out and buy food. My savings were running out, and this made me anxious.

“How?” I asked.

He walked over to pick up the cup and drank the water in one gulp.

Then, without saying anything, he went to the water pipe and filled it with water. He finished it in one gulp.

I watched as he gulped down five glasses of water!

When he was about to take his sixth drink, I stopped him.

“Wait, are you sure drinking so much water can prolong the time?”

“Oh.” (Of course.)

It was too risky. He had never tried such a method before.

“Wait a minute. I’ll check if there’s a swimming pool or a shower center near the supermarket.”

I checked the map online and found a motel not far from the supermarket.

In case Dacia needed water, I could go to the motel and get a room for him to soak in.

It didn’t cost much anyway.

I eventually agreed.

The weather was fine, and there weren’t many people at the bus stop. They all looked at Dacia strangely.

After getting on the bus, those people still looked at Dacia from time to time.

It was too much. I hated being the center of attention.

When we finally reached the station, I pulled Dacia out of the car quickly.

However, there were even more people on the road. They were all looking at Dacia!

I should have put a hat, sunglasses, and mask on him. This guy was really too conspicuous.

A few bold high school girls walked over and shouted without hiding anything, “Hey! Handsome! Can you leave a phone number?”

“I can’t.” Dacia actually answered them with a new vocabulary.

They burst into sharp laughter.

How annoying!

I quickly pulled Dacia into the supermarket while trying my best to ignore the looks people were giving me as I quickly grabbed what I needed.

Just as I reached the seafood area, I saw a familiar face.

It was Daniel! He was actually here!

“Lily, I’ve said it many times. Grandma doesn’t like fish. We can’t buy fish.”

Daniel was talking to the little girl at his side. The little girl looked a lot like him. She was probably his daughter.

As he spoke, Daniel looked up to see me. His face broke into a friendly smile again. “Hi, Miss Anne.”

“Hello.” I was nervous.

A wary look came into Dacia’s eyes when she saw me greeting Daniel. “Who is he?”

“He’s the HR manager for that company I interviewed for,” I whispered back.

Daniel was obviously surprised. Maybe he couldn’t believe I’d have such an outstanding boyfriend.

I suppose I could call Dacia my boyfriend? After all, we’ve already had that kind of relationship.

“And this is?” Daniel asked curiously.

“This is Dacia, my boyfriend. Dacia, this is Daniel.” I quickly introduce them to each other..
