Looking up at Purple Summers, she explained, “Ms. Simonson, it’s not that I don’t want to help, it’s just that I really can’t make it in time! If I can’t raise the money quickly, they’ll take my store away!”

Purple Summers looked at her with sympathy, “How much money did your husband lose?”

“2,700,” the boss said, tears streaming down her face. “He’s heartless! For just 2,700, he mortgaged my store away! But I don’t have that much cash on hand, and the savings in the bank have been squandered by him long ago… ”
“Don’t panic, I’ll lend it to you first,” Purple Summers said calmly.

“Ms. Simonson, you really are a good person! I’ll definitely pay you back as soon as possible!”

Purple Summers smiled faintly, “Sure.”

The boss’s expression stiffened, not expecting Purple Summers to actually ask for the money back. To such a wealthy person, what was 2,700? Why did she still insist on being repaid?
