Chapter 1267: Chapter 278: Immortal Seal Erupts

“Aren’t you afraid of dying? This place is surrounded by Ancient Demons, hurry up and run!”

The woman didn’t answer Li Hao, and instead, she replied in a huff.

Her voice was crisp, with a hint of coldness in its charm, quite alluring.

Li Hao let her pull him along, contemplating whether he should take the opportunity to ambush her and kill her with a single blow.

But even though this woman’s aura was weak, when she was concealing it earlier, it seemed to have extremely strong immortal power, not just of the True Immortal Realm.

Li Hao was uncertain. After a brief thought, he still decided not to take the risk. After all, such a peculiar Ancient Demon, it was the first time he had encountered one.

While Li Hao was pondering, suddenly, in front of them as they fled, a vague spatial fluctuation abruptly appeared in the void, sweeping towards them at a sharp and aggressive speed.

The vague fluctuation was hidden deep in the space. Li Hao noticed that the woman beside him seemed unaware of it. His expression changed, realizing the attack was clearly aimed at them, and it was an indiscriminate attack. If they kept moving forward, he would also be in trouble.

“Wait a moment.”

Li Hao slightly exerted force in his arm, pulling her to a stop.

The woman was puzzled, about to ask, but suddenly she sensed something. Her face changed, a black vertical line flickered in her eyes as terrifying immortal power surged from her body.

She swung a sword forward abruptly, slicing the void apart. The spatial fluctuation leaped out, rushing towards them.

The woman, furious and biting her teeth, erupted with Ancient Demon True Blood, her body’s immortal power momentum surged more than ten times than before. The previously twisted, spiral-like arm instantly healed, seemingly shattering some sort of Immortal Path Law binding on her arm.

Then, she murmured softly, and with a raise of her hand, a majestic shadow holding a pen appeared behind her.

The shadow lifted its hand, waving the pen, and with a point, the void shook, instantly annihilating the spatial fluctuation.

As the spatial fluctuation dissipated, two massive rifts appeared in the void, and from within, two enormous Ancient Demon figures emerged.

Upon seeing the two Ancient Demons, Li Hao’s expression changed as well.

Ancient Demon Commanders, and two of them at that!

Moreover, their aura seemed much more formidable than the one that had been chasing him earlier!

Li Hao’s eyes also sharpened, although he felt a bit uncertain inside. Curiously, the two Ancient Demon Commanders didn’t seem to be targeting him, but rather the Ancient Demon Woman beside him.

As Li Hao’s gaze flickered, one of the Ancient Demons suddenly spoke, in a deep voice, using the ancient demon language:

“Come back with us, stop struggling, or hand over that thing. We might not hunt you to death!”

The Ancient Demon Woman smirked slightly but didn’t respond directly, instead she transmitted a message: “Dream on, that thing isn’t on me. Chasing me is a waste of time. Even if I die and it gets lost, you will die too!”

The two Ancient Demons’ eyes changed, revealing even more withering killing intent.

They knew what she said was true. That thing was of major importance. If they could secure it, it would be an achievement. If not, regardless of their effort, it would mean death!

“Looks like only the Three-Life Realm Technique can make you speak willingly.”

The Ancient Demon uttered deeply.

He spoke in the language of the Ancient Demon Clan, which to outsiders sounded like a dull roar. But Li Hao, having followed Nangong Jian on the starry ancient road and learned the demon language, felt a bit enlightened.

However, seeing that the woman beside him wasn’t responding, seemingly still pretending, she was likely communicating through transmitted thoughts.

In such chaos, Li Hao expressed his desire to withdraw.

He pulled away from the Ancient Demon Woman’s hand, cupping his fists to her surprised gaze, and said, “Senior, these two Ancient Demons are yours to handle. I must take my leave!”

After finishing, he cupped his fists in salute, and then swiftly turned to flee.

Just as Li Hao was about to teleport away, suddenly, the void trembled. A terrifying surge of immortal aura chased after him, threatening to pierce through his body.

Li Hao’s expression changed. The Fourth Level of Space Origin allowed him to barely catch the attack’s fluctuation, but the speed was too fast, leaving him no time to dodge.

Stop!

Li Hao’s immortal power erupted all at once. The All Heavens Star Vein instantly appeared, with bits of starlight surrounding him. His immortal power drained away in an instant, but this extreme activation of Time Origin allowed him to momentarily solidify the time around him.

Though it was only a fleeting moment, it was enough for him to narrowly teleport sideways, avoiding the attack that grazed past him.

“Hmm?”

Seeing its attack miss, the Ancient Demon Commander was stunned.

The Ancient Demon Woman and the other one were also a bit surprised. Even though their attention was on each other, they couldn’t ignore what happened so close by.

A mere little guy at the True Immortal Realm Third Level had actually evaded an angry strike from an Immortal Monarch Realm. It was somewhat unbelievable!

Li Hao, cursing internally, thought, ‘Aren’t you supposed to be fighting amongst yourselves? Why are you aiming at me?’

Without looking back, he turned and accelerated his escape.

“Stop him!”

Watching Li Hao’s actions, both Ancient Demon Commanders’ expressions changed. They attacked him together.

Even the Ancient Demon Woman hadn’t expected this weak Human Race to actually draw the firepower of these two Immortal Monarch Realm pursuers away from her. Surprised, she seemed to also understand why Li Hao wasn’t afraid while foolishly staying deep in the Ancient Demon territory earlier.

With such skills, aside from the Immortal Monarch Realm Ancient Demons, it seemed there truly wasn’t any danger that could threaten him.
