Jasmine knew Yukon Carbon was a very meticulous person. He paid attention to every little detail.

They chatted for a few more moments before the elevator reached the eighth floor.

“I’ve got to go, I’m home now, bye. If the plane hasn’t taken off in a bit, I’ll call you again,” said Jasmine.

Jasmine put down Sweet Kitty and put away her phone.

As she walked ahead, Sweet Kitty scampered along beside her feet.

The hallway was unusually quiet, with only her footsteps audible.

Occasionally, Sweet Kitty would meow.

The entrance to the apartment was a blind spot where the lighting was dim and one could barely see their own hand.

But the neighborhood had always been safe, so Jasmine had never worried about anything.

Like always, she fished out her keys from her bag with practiced ease, aiming for the keyhole.

The inside of the house was pitch black, the silence stifling.

The man pressed her against the door panel while outside, Sweet Kitty incessantly scratched at the door with its paws.

“Let go, who are you…” Jasmine couldn’t see the figure, flailing her hands in panic, pushing hard against him.

She struggled as if her life depended on it, kicking her boots at his legs.

The man dodged and his large hand pressed down on her shoulders. In the darkness, he bent over and precisely captured her lips with his, delivering a hot and lingering kiss.

His lips were cool, tinged with the chill of the late night.

Yet, his fingers were rough, scraping painfully against her cheek.

Jasmine’s heart throbbed intensely, her mind going blank, feeling utterly dazed as if her brain had exploded.

The man’s breath caressed her ear and lips, his cool lips pressing down with force.

“Mmm…” Jasmine couldn’t make a sound, her fists pounding on his chest.

The man grunted but didn’t release her; instead, he intensified the kiss.

The kiss was like relentless rain, continuous and unceasing.

The air temperature suddenly rose, her back pressed against the door, aching and unable to cry out.

Outside, Sweet Kitty continued scratching at the door, its cries piercing.

Jasmine’s hands were quickly caught by him, rendering her immobile.

Jasmine felt an urge to cry out of desperation and confusion. She bit at his lips with her teeth.

But the intoxicated man deftly avoided her bites.
