The old man had actually come in person. Catherine took a deep breath and quickly walked to the seat next to the Godfather. She was waiting for the old man to finish talking with the gods.
The Godfather saw her, but he continued to eat slowly until he swallowed the last mouthful of food. Then he put his hands together devoutly and prayed to the sky, “Amen…”

The Godfather’s call seemed to acknowledge Catherine, but it also seemed to be a roundabout way of reminding her to pay attention to her identity at all times and to have the self-awareness of a Godmother.
“I respect your opinion, but I still want to find the murderers. Even if it doesn’t prove anything, I want them to know that impersonating the Coven has consequences.”
While saying this, Catherine had been clenching her teeth. Her resolute attitude had changed the attitude of the Godfather.
“I knew you would say that.” The old man said with a mysterious smile.
“What do you mean?” Catherine questioned him.
“Think carefully about the origin of the carnival at the religious ceremony. Think about the respected ‘Duke’ and why he did what he did.”
After saying this, the old man stood up and pushed Catherine, who was about to stand up as well, back into her seat while patting her shoulders. He said earnestly, “Patience is the only thing that you need now. Waiting for the moment when the enemy gives themselves away before attacking is the right move.”
The godfather took his cane from Madam Spider and left the kitchen unhurriedly with her support, disappearing into the bustling crowd.
“Waiting for an opportunity… I can’t do it. What I can do now is to strike decisively and shatter the enemy’s conspiracy!” Obviously, Catherine did not listen to the Godfather’s words.
Catherine did not want these nuggets of wisdom or words of warning, but the means and strength that could truly revitalize the sect – and of course, the conscience to protect the innocent people.
