Chapter 11

How could she let another woman take advantage of her man when she had never even touched him.

Kathleen came out of her room after washing up, her face remained expressionless when she saw Sherri standing dumbfounded downstairs. She slowly walked down the stairs.

She was wearing a thin white shirt and a pair of light blue skinny jeans, accentuating her long and slender figure.

Her beautiful face was only the size of a palm, her eyes big and bright, her chin pointed, and her skin as fair as snow. She looked radiant and beautiful even without makeup.

Barkley was standing at the side. When he caught sight of Kathleen, he went up to her and said, “Ms. Yates, the breakfast is ready!”

Kathleen nodded her head in reply and headed to the dining room for breakfast.

Sherri sat on the sofa, her eyes glued on Kathleen’s back as she left.

‘Hmph, I’ve been staying on guards to prevent women outside from approaching John, but I have paid little attention to Kathleen.

‘How can I forgot that Kathleen is already 18 years old. That girl is all grown-up now.

‘Since she’s a adult now, she should’ve known that there shall be a prudent reserve between opposite sexes, yet she lets John sleep with her! She’s so shameless!’

Sherri pressed her lips tightly together, her eyes becoming more vicious and wicked.

‘How dare a moron like her lay her hands on my man! That girl has a death wish!’

She had stayed pretty long on the sofa, but John had not come downstairs.

She started getting impatient. After checking her watch, she rose to her feet, walked upstairs and went to John’s bedroom.

She did not see John and there was no one inside the huge room.

However, she could hear the sound of water splashing in the bathroom. A smile played on her lips as she daringly walked into the bathroom.

‘I’m his fiancée, and it’s perfectly natural for me to come inside.’

“Kathleen, bring in the sanitizing wipes for me!” John said naturally as he heard the footsteps in the shower and thought it was Kathleen.

Sherri looked around, picked up the sanitizing wipe from the table, pushed open the bathroom door and went inside.

John was sitting on a chair in the bathroom and wiping the prosthetic limb.

He did not remove his prosthetic limb last night because he was sleeping in Kathleen’s room. He felt discomfort around his residual limb at the moment, so he decided to clean and disinfect the prosthetic leg after the shower.

Sherri saw his muscular chest at first glance when she entered the bathroom. Her face was scarlet red as she uttered softly, “John!”

John immediately looked back, his face darkened when he realized that it was Sherri. “Why are you here? Where’s Kathleen?”

Sherri said obsequiously, “Kathleen is having breakfast now, so I came to give you the sanitizing wipe.”

“Get out!” John demanded, his voice ice-cold.

Sherri was startled. “John!”

“Don’t make me repeat my words!”

After putting the sanitizing wipe on the table, Sherri knew his temper very well, so she left the bathroom.

‘Kathleen is just a moron that he’s adopted while I’m his fiancée! By rights, I have more right to be here than Kathleen!’

‘However, John treats her very differently from me! It’s so annoying!’

After finished cleaning up, John opened the door and walked out of the bathroom. He cast a glance at Sherri and asked coldly, “What brings you here?”

“Aren’t you going to sign an agreement with my dad today? I want to tag along with you to the office.” The Lamberts had many business dealings with the Millans. The latter had gone through a lot of trouble to curry favor with John.

The Millans greatly valued her engagement with John as it would bring benefits to them.

Sherri was thrilled with the engagement. Although John had a bad leg, he was gorgeous and had a good figure. On top of that, he was incredibly wealthy as he was the owner of the Lambert Group. The problem of his leg was negligible compared to that.

John looked at her and remained silent. He took out a business suit from the closet and began to dress himself.

Sherri thoughtfully went up to help him fasten the buttons of his shirt and tie his tie.

After helping him suit up, Sherri looked him up and down and exclaimed in admiration, “John, you look stunning!”

John stood before her, wearing a black business suit that was perfectly tailored to his figure, emphasizing his tall and graceful figure. His face was gorgeous, exuding a royal demeanor.

Sherri was more certain that she had made the right decision.

After dressing up, John went to the bathroom to adjust his clothes.

While he was not there, Sherri immediately took out some small packets from her pocket and secretly put them in the bedside table drawer.

John just happened to witness that when he stepped out of the bathroom. “What are you doing?”

He hastened toward her, opened the drawer, and saw some green packets.

He furrowed his brows as he asked coldly, “Why did you leave them here?”

Sherri bit her lips. “John, we’re engaged, and we’re both adults who have our needs. You don’t have to hold back your desire! I’m willing to do anything for you!”

She just wanted to become John’s woman earlier, so that he would not be stolen by another woman.

When John was about to say something, there was a knock on the door, and Kathleen’s voice soon came through the door. “Young Master, I need to pay an activity fee of 500 dollars to the university!”
