Chapter 177 Jocelyn Waking Up From Shock

Luke looked at Aren, who was standing by Jocelyn’s bed. Realizing that the two of them might need some time alone, he reached out and dragged the doctor out of the room with him.

He signaled the remaining doctors to leave the room with his eyes and body language. These doctors did not feel that Luke was being impolite. Instead, they were grateful to him. God knew how suffocated they were staying in this room. If they could escape, they wouldn’t mind if Luke kicked them out of the room?

The doctors quickly escaped from the ward where Aren and Jocelyn were, as if they were hunted down by a pack of wolves.

It was not until the doctors disappeared into the corridor that Luke, who was planning to stand at the door and keep an eye on Aren and Jocelyn, found Eliza, who had been sitting on a bench in the corridor for an unknown period of time.

“Miss Eliza, don’t worry. Miss Jocelyn is now safe and is resting inside.”

“You don’t look too good. Do you want to find a place to rest?”

Luke was not surprised at all by Eliza’s appearance here, because he had noticed on the way that she had been following him.

He just didn’t expect Eliza to wait outside for so long. She looked like a soulless puppet, sitting there still.

After a moment, she was finally able to relax. She leaned against the wall behind her weakly, as if all her bones had been removed.

“Thank God for answering my prayer,” Eliza whispered.

Then, Eliza cast her gaze on the ward behind Luke. Luke, who thought that Eliza still wanted to barge in, moved, blocking Eliza’s line of sight.

“Mr. Aren is chatting with Miss Jocelyn. I’m afraid he doesn’t want a third person to disturb him, so I hope Miss Eliza doesn’t make things difficult for me.”

Eliza looked away. She didn’t plan to disturb them.

Although Jocelyn had once said that it was only a contract marriage between her and Aren, seeing how much he cared about Jocelyn, Eliza had a feeling that this contract marriage would eventually become a real marriage.
