Jacob suppressed his anger, because his rationality reminded him that he couldn’t burst out in rage since he had more important things to accomplish.

He composed himself, and his tone became somewhat softer, “Xaviera, I don’t want to force you. This time, Quinn did something wrong, but she also had a sudden relapse. I… I won’t force you to apologize, but could you at least not have such hostility towards her? After all, she’s your sister.”

Xaviera sneered internally, thinking how fake this man in front of her was!

There was a sudden silence around them. Jacob’s face stiffened, and his voice trembled as he asked in shock, “Xaviera… what did you say?”

Five years ago, Xaviera had indeed disliked Quinn, but she had never said these words so bluntly.
