Fang Chixia’s reaction was extremely agile and quick, while she was rather strong as well. After being suddenly bumped into, that person had taken a few steps back, leaning back towards the wall behind him with her in his arms.

Luo Yibei had been bumped into and pushed right after leaving the VIP room. His eyes hardened as he grabbed her wrist in reflex, wanting to push the woman away. However, when he saw that it was Fang Chixia, he froze a little.

“Help me!” Fang Chixia gestured for him to stay quiet as her petite face was tilted up, her eyes a little panicked as they stared at him. The softness in her voice, along with her darting eyes betrayed her nervousness.

What was she worried about?

Luo Yibei never expected to bump into her in such a place, so he was somewhat surprised.

His gaze trailed down slowly from her face as he checked her out for a while. When he saw the uniform she was wearing, his eyebrows furrowed unconsciously.

Imperial City was a high-end club and offered countless entertainment facilities, such as a bar, a restaurant, pool, bowling alley and many more. The staff uniforms in Imperial City would vary depending on the needs of the different venues.

Fang Chixia was wearing a black evening gown. It didn’t expose her figure garishly, but the helm of the dress was rather short and her pair of fair, long and beautiful legs were exposed to everyone, making her look energetic and youthful.

Luo Yibei stared at her again before his eyes narrowed slightly and his calm tone filled with an unconscious sharpness that was hard to decipher. “You came to drink with men?”

Fang Chixia froze for a moment before she tugged at her skirt awkwardly. While pulling at the top of the dress that covered her chest she defended herself, “Who came to drink with men? I only came to help with a friend’s part-time shift.”

Indeed, she didn’t come to drink with men to begin with. Yet, her explanation felt a little weak.

However, it was not because she wasn’t being reasonable. It was just the fact that she was standing in such a venue that made it hard to believe her words.

“Really?” A smirk appeared on Luo Yibei’s lips. No one knew if he believed her words.

At the opposite end of the corridor, several sets of rushed footsteps sounded. Thud, thud, thud… It was as if they were running towards where the two were.

Upon hearing the speed at which the steps were approaching, Fang Chixia’s heart thumped crazily. She looked up at him once more with pleading eyes. “Help me!”

Her gaze was filled with nervousness as her hands gripped onto Luo Yibei’s shirt tightly, making creases at his chest. Her doe-like eyes continued to stare at him like that and Luo Yibei felt as if something had softly scratched at his heart.

He closed his eyes softly before he reached an arm around her waist as Fang Chixia continued to stare at him in anticipation. Suddenly, he turned them around, and with a loud smack, he pushed her towards the wall behind her.

Their body figures were drastically different, with him being a lot larger and taller. With the change in their positions, his body happened to cover her perfectly.

By the corridor, the footsteps rushing towards them continued. They were panicked and messy, as if several others had joined the search.

Cooperating with the man, Fang Chixia allowed Luo Yibei to press himself against her, thinking that he was just going to cover her with his body.

Who knew that as the footsteps grew louder, Luo Yibei’s handsome face suddenly leaned towards her ear and bit her earlobe softly.

“Mmm~” A shiver ran over Fang Chixia’s sensitive body as a low moan left her lips at the unexpected action. She raised a fist, wanting to hit him. However, Luo Yibei took the chance to pull her hand onto his shoulder.

With a hand wrapped around her waist, his free hand pinched her naughtily.

“Louder.”

Fang Chixia was speechless.
