Chapter 24: Cheng Tian

The moment he arrived at the school gates, Qiu Chen saw the female pig Qiao Lingxiang.
Some bodily injuries weren’t immediately obvious. Some injuries would only reveal their severity after some time had passed.
After one night, Qiu Chen had close to zero fighting ability left. Thus, he had to keep hopping back on one foot as he was struck by Qiao Lingxiang’s wrench. Many students around her who passed through the school gates stopped to look at the show.
On the other hand, the big young man Qiu Chen was speaking to, Qiu Chen’s elder cousin, couldn’t keep watching Qiu Chen retreating and getting beaten up. He ran out immediately and kicked Qiao Lingxiang instantly. Qiao Lingxiang fell to the ground.
The crowd around them went “Oh~~”. It was hard to tell whether they were applauding, shocked, or something else.
Qiu Chen’s elder cousin was Cheng Tian. He pointed at Qiao Lingxiang and said fiercely, “You should stop while you can. Others might be scared of Cen Yi but I’m not!”
Cheng Tian was an athlete too. Compared to Cen Yi who transferred over from the north, he had deeper roots in Xiang City. When it came to fighting, wasn’t it about who had more numbers?
Unexpectedly, Qiao Lingxiang crawled up from the ground and pounced on Cheng Tian. She shouted at him, “Why do I care who you’re afraid of? What does this have to do with you?”
She held the wrench in her hand and started hitting Cheng Tian with it. Cheng Tian wasn’t an easy person to deal with. Physically, he was more developed than the fatty Qiao Lingxiang. After a few kicks, he managed to kick away the wrench in Qiao Lingxiang’s hand. Then he punched Qiao Lingxiang’s face. He punched her again and again.
Qiao Lingxiang didn’t know how to fight. The first fight in her life was yesterday. So, faced with the physically-fit Cheng Tian, she couldn’t hold her ground at all.
She pounced on him again and again and missed him again and again. Sometimes, Cheng Tian would sneak an attack behind her. Sometimes, he kicked her stomach directly.
The crowd around them seemed to be watching a show. When they saw Qiao Lingxiang’s clumsy and slow fighting style, they occasionally roared out in laughter.
But some people noticed Qiao Lingxiang’s willpower. She was being beaten up badly by Cheng Tian but she still pounced on him over and over again. This kind of perseverance was honestly quite touching.
“Cheng Tian, stop fighting.”
“Cheng Tian, aren’t you going a little overboard?”
“Fight, fight, beat her until she becomes a real pig head.”
“Cheng Tian, all the best!”
The crowd surrounding them gradually separated into two teams. Public opinion started to shift towards two extremes.
Qiao Lingxiang was in a daze from Cheng Tian’s beating. She fell many times and her ears got punched by Cheng Tian a few times too. She could hear ringing in her ears.
She could barely hear what the bystanders were saying. Her vision was blurry. At this moment, she saw Qiu Chen again.
Cheng Tian kicked her waist. Qiao Lingxiang staggered for a moment. Then, she saw Qiu Chen standing in the crowd and laughing while pointing at her.
He looked so arrogant and irritating.
Qiao Lingxiang decided to change her strategy. This morning, she wanted to fight Qiu Chen. She shouldn’t waste her energy on Cheng Tian. She needed to beat Qiu Chen until he got scared. She must defeat him.
Beat him until he’s obedient!
That way, Qiu Chen would never scold her or bully her again in the future.
With this thought in mind, the dizzy and muddled Qiao Lingxiang suddenly screamed loudly and charged towards Qiu Chen who was smiling brightly in the crowd.
