Zhao Yao controlled the eye-sized Dimension Portal to penetrate layers and layers of armor plates as he left the battlefield behind him. His mind checked the map while he corrected his bearings and advanced towards the core laboratory.

Zhao Yao felt that his speed was slow.

Though the Dimension Portal was traveling at full speed it was slower than his personal speed.

The Chaos Stronghold was as large as a planet. To travel in the humongous space at the current speed was too slow.

Zhao Yao got Dust Ball to maneuver the Dimension Portal straight ahead while he got hold of Roly Poly from Cat Island.

Zhao Yao pinched on the back skin of his neck and shook him. “Project X! Have you evolved Roly Poly’s superpower? Is it having the ability to walk through objects on top of optical invisibility?”

Project X was shocked and said, “What Project X? I don’t know. I’m Roly Poly. Zhao Yao, don’t speak nonsense.”

“Tsk.” Zhao Yao could not be bothered to argue with him as he was under his surveillance. Zhao Yao said, “You’ll activate your superpower and we’ll sneak into the Chaos Stronghold.”

“Could I not go? I have a stomachache.” Project X was reluctant but after feeling the power coming from the back of his neck, he had no choice but to yield. He nodded reluctantly and said, “I understand.”

Zhao Yao grabbed Project X while he charged out of the Dimension Portal. His body became invisible and he penetrated the layers of armor plating. Then he hurried towards the core interior.

Zhao Yao thought, “This superpower is very useful as it is an invisible field that makes desired objects invisible within its effective radius.

Zhao Yao stomped on the wall and bolted out like lightning.

“Turning my invisibility on and off only required a single thought and I could go through all obstacles without any form or shadow. I could hold onto Roly Poly, step on solid ground and steal… oops, pick up things.”

Zhao Yao traveled at full speed which was much faster than shifting the Dimension Portal. He was formless and without shadow. Without air friction, he could accelerate without limits. He approached the core laboratory rapidly.

“I can’t accelerate anymore as it is reaching my reaction limit. At this speed… I could travel around the Earth in a few minutes.”

Zhao Yao focused his thoughts and opened a Dimension Portal. He dashed into the portal with Project X and they arrived in the Extradimensional Belly.

He peeped out from the Dimension Portal and surveyed the surroundings warily.

Because he was that close to the core area, Zhao Yao stepped into the Dimension Portal to avoid stepping on sensors that might reveal his presence.

He hid behind the Dimension Portal to get close to the laboratory.

He saw numerous large doors in front. He bypassed various surveillance and defense systems using the Dimension Portal.

A large space appeared before Zhao Yao.

There was man-made sunlight, a large expanse of grass plains, a coastline and rows of large buildings.

If there had been a sky in the core area, Zhao Yao might have mistaken the location for a resort.

Zhao Yao surveyed the buildings and rested his gaze at the highest and most prominent building which looked like a wizard’s tower from far.

The tower was more than a thousand meters tall and more than five hundred meters wide. The tower’s body glowed with blue rays that looked mysterious. There were floating mini-buildings surrounding the tower.

“Well, I wasn’t not told the exact location… It is probably the tower then as it is the most conspicuous.”

Zhao Yao knew that this was Long Fur Tribe’s most secret area where normal people were not allowed. The Cat Revolution Society’s members had not been there so they did not have any information about this place.

Zhao Yao stayed behind the Dimension Portal and edged closer to the distant tower.

After covering more than a hundred meters, the underground space flashed with crimson rays and siren blared.

Zhao Yao was shocked. “S*it, is the defense system able to detect dimension ripples?”

It was too late, Zhao Yao grabbed Project X and activated his invisibility as he bolted out of the Dimension Portal and flew towards the distant tower.

Zhao Yao picked up speed and saw numerous lights illuminating the tower’s body. Various sound waves, electromagnetic energy, space, heat, mass and gravity sensors and defense systems, which Zhao Yao could not figure out, activated and engulfed the huge tower.

Countless mechanized units on the ground flew to the sky like dark clouds and dispersed in the huge space.

Zhao Yao did not say a word as he grabbed Project X and threw him ahead.

Project X roared angrily, “D*mn!!”

Project X recovered himself. If Zhao Yao was killed, it meant trouble. If he died, he could be revived by Zhao Yao using the Door of Everlasting Life.

Project X was still unhappy but he had to brace himself as he broke through layers of defenses and detection before knocking headlong into the tower’s interior.

Zhao Yao followed behind and frowned at the complex beehive-like structure.

His ears quivered and he detected various vibrations. The colliding sounds edged closer and closer to him.

“Are they able to detect me though I’m invisible? I’m exchanging air, heat, electromagnetic energy, photons and forces with the environment. I’m not sure which one they are detecting but they are tight in their defenses…”

Zhao Yao thought, “I cannot afford to waste my time with the defense system…”

After thinking for a while, the invisible Zhao Yao leaped into the air and jumped over several obstacles.

Along the way, Zhao Yao swallowed all file cabinets and computers into the Extradimensional Belly.

He combed the way up for things that were of value. Because of the sirens, he did not have time to examine them properly.

His eyes were filled with darkness as he lifted his head and looked in shock.

He saw honeycomb-shaped cabinets arranged neatly up the tower. They looked like thousands of coffins that were stacked with no end in sight.

In these coffins were small little girls that looked exactly like Calamity.
