Wen Yanqing didn’t argue with her; there was still plenty of time for that. He saw her go upstairs to sit and play with Ximi and asked, “Didn’t you say you came over for something?”

He thought she was there to check on the store’s operations and the employees’ work.

“Nope, I’m quite relieved with Ruoxi here,” Lin Gantang’s fingers circled on Ximi’s back, creating a small dent in its fur, “I mainly came to meet with Yin Zhen.”

Wen Yanqing nodded, indicating he understood.

Yin Zhen was held up by work and said she’d be late. Lin Gantang leisurely read a book, waited quite a while, then glanced at her wristwatch and turned her eyes to the person next to her who showed no signs of moving.

“Aren’t you leaving?” Lin Gantang poked him, “Your lunch break is almost over.”

“I’m not leaving; I’m a bit concerned,” Wen Yanqing said.

“This is yours, thanks to the boss for treating us to milk tea,” Qian Ruoxi presented the milk tea to her.

“Right? Right? I knew it wouldn’t be bad when I saw the long queue outside,” Lin Gantang said, delighted at receiving the milk tea.
