“The preliminary transformation is completed. Now, it’s time to hasten the growth of civilization.”
“Well, now that’s double the pleasure.” Qin Muye couldn’t help but smile, his role as a treasure-bearing envoy had proven to be extremely valuable.
“Moreover, the Book of Eternity appears to have recorded a massive amount of data–this must be the GROX Empire’s spiritual knowledge.”
“The population isn’t large, so the civilization is rather small, but it’s sufficient.”
“Wang Wei… he got the Book of Eternity. That’s really impressive.” Qin Muye suddenly felt a new stream of data flowing into Wang Wei’s body, which was then captured and fed back by the White Death God Armor.
“Extracting it seems a bit troublesome. My influence is indirect, so it looks like I’ll need to deepen my control over Wang Wei.”
“The star map is also nearly complete, and it seems the three major powers have taken notice of this matter.”
“It seems the Book of Eternity contains even more data? It seems to involve the soul. This thing must be what’s known as ‘aptitude’.”
However, the other party probably hasn’t yet realized that this is a star map; otherwise, they would have started to block the news already.
But if I’m not mistaken, it must also be of Divine Artifact Level.
Not only that, the genetic vaccines, mental protections, and other defenses possessed by powers such as the Star Cluster Empire will also be directly analyzed.
From what I see now, if the GROX Empire’s Life Scepter were used solely as an Infinite Superpower, it would be an egregious waste. Its true power lies in the evolutionary development of a life form, as it can also be used to read various vital signs of the life form, among other things.
Of course, using Thought Steel Seal is illegal, but as long as you don’t offer this service openly, and it’s only a case of primitive civilization, actually, no one will care. Even if you’re caught, you can argue it away with the guidance of a spiritual civilization, and if you spend a bit of money on a good interstellar lawyer and grease some palms, you won’t face any trouble at all.
Luckily, Qin Muye never considered seriously using this tactic to undermine those major powers; it was merely an experimental method.
For Qin Muye, this enabled him to rapidly analyze a life form. Although there were many restrictions, such as the inability to analyze life forms of Level 9 or those with a special template like Qin Muye himself or the Gendaya Mother Goddess types.
Furthermore, he was also given an interstellar city, normally awarded to planet owners. This civilization catalyst even provides a generation’s worth of Thought Steel Seals, a pity there’s only one generation’s worth. If you want more later, you have to make another purchase.
Qin Muye’s approach is different; he undertakes fundamental transformations, directly injecting the entire concept of civilization with the data he needs which allows the civilization to develop as he envisioned even without any physical alterations.
With such a good thing before him, Qin Muye definitely won’t pass up the opportunity, so he can only think of ways to further deepen his infiltration into Wang Wei.
Luckily, the technology is very advanced. In just three days, it’s possible to uplift a primitive civilization to the brink of the cosmos–albeit just a tentative step into modernity.
Qin Muye has arranged for Spirit Monster to monitor the situation here. To complete the process, it will certainly require some time, at least a month or two.
In his domain, the real population consists of the Spirit Monster and various species derived from the Abyss Layers. As for the most numerous Terminator Skeleton Soldiers, they don’t really count as a population.
Currently, the civilization is in a catalysis phase. Under such circumstances, catalysis is definitely needed; otherwise, if left to develop on its own, who knows how long that would take.
Even with the support of Shared Destiny, it might not be enough to cope, because in terms of overall strength, the Endless Abyss isn’t comparable to the Star Cluster Empire.
Qin Muye speculates that if he could obtain the data and heritage of both the Life Scepter and the Book of Eternity, perhaps he could help the Spirit Monsters climb to the next level–at least Level 8 wouldn’t be a problem.
Qin Muye will ensure that nothing is left behind.
Qin Muye looked at the transformed civilization; his method of civilization transformation differed from that in the Shining Server. They used a direct and crude physical catalysis, similar to the civilization catalyst service proposed by the Qi people. Although it was offered for free, such a service, if priced, was not cheap.
Qin Muye watched the gradually replenishing congregation. Recently, there had been a spate of artificial sub-dimension attacks by spiritual beings, all of which were definitely going to attract the attention of the three major powers.
Qin Muye’s actions are an investment, with an expected return of a protagonist plus several Divine Artifact Level Treasures. It’s bound to require some cost input.
Qin Muye had previously felt that the Life Scepter being at Divine Artifact Level was a bit of an overstatement, but now, upon closer inspection, it indeed proved to be the genuine article, requiring the supplementary use of Energy Manipulation superpowers after all.
If the Life Scepter targeted life as a whole, then the Book of Eternity was about the optimization of individuals, and there was a significant difference between the two.
Though such an action might cause problems for the civilization later on, fortunately, Qin Muye, kind-hearted as he was, couldn’t bear to see these hardships, so when the time came, it would be straightforward just to dispose of this civilization.
As he completed the transformation of the entire civilization, all the quadrupeds fell into a deep slumber, and their bodies continuously secreted a deep blue liquid, akin to blood.
So this ability, it seems a bit of a bully against weaklings but fearful of the strong.
All quadrupeds were utterly bewildered as a great number of memories that didn’t belong to them surfaced in their minds, causing their once savage nature to gradually dissipate.
He was stingy, but he knew when to be stingy.
He also disdained to use such methods, for they were pointless, or else he would have developed even more underhanded techniques a long time ago.
Wang Wei had now highly integrated with the White Death God Armor, nearly becoming one with it, so Qin Muye only needed to add a little more fire to the mix.
Unknown star domains represented new interests; how could they possibly be declared to the outside world?
In terms of territory and population alike, they were in a disadvantaged state.
Items that contained a Genetic Lock, like the Insect Race gene banks and the Gendaya Great Book Library, could be instantly deciphered and feedback acquired.
Otherwise, would one really get what they wanted without offering anything in return and merely spouting empty promises? Freeloading might feel great, but it also depended on the circumstances.
The Book of Eternity should also be of this level, but as for Galaxy Magic, Qin Muye wasn’t clear, given that he didn’t have data on it and thus couldn’t judge.
Having previously obtained the Life Scepter, Qin Muye found researching the Book of Eternity intuitive and soon noticed the differences.
One has to give before they can take, and Qin Muye was set on playing the role of the gift-bringing boy!
Within a primitive and savage civilization, Qin Muye relied on the abilities he had gained from devouring the Civilization’s Son Weapon – World to transform the entire civilization.
After all, Qin Muye had chosen their civilization, not them as individuals; there was a difference between the two.
This technology allowed Qin Muye to further accelerate the evolution of the species using data from the Life Scepter, and he already possessed about 85% of the necessary data. It was not possible to be certain of the exact figure, as remote Investigation rather than direct observation had been used, leading to some variability. However, this was no major issue; to be able to obtain such technology safely and conveniently was quite a feat.
This was no mere ripening of fruit, but an entire civilization, and even if that civilization had just been born, completing the task in one or two months was exceedingly swift.
And this was quite normal; if everything were exactly the same, it would be no different from being the same thing.
Such means were also quite limited, only applicable to these nascent civilizations. Should one try to meddle with powers like the Star Cluster Empire, it would likely backlash against Qin Muye on the spot.
If someone could actually seize the protagonist’s fate, that would mean only one thing: the one whose fate had been seized was a false protagonist, and the real protagonist was the one who had taken it. That person would be the true protagonist, typically seen in stories where the real hero uses the original fake hero of the book as a stepping stone to show off and slap faces.
Once dead, there would be no further suffering; although the logic might be a bit flawed, it was at least an immediate resolution with no side effects to worry about, nor concerns of problems arising from it.
Only after growing to the level Qin Muye had set could they be further transformed.
As for this planet, it would simply be transformed into a carrier for the Civilization’s Son Weapon.
The species itself could be seen and examined, while civilization was a concept that, although intangible and immaterial, could deeply penetrate the hearts of people. What Qin Muye stimulated was this very concept.
The most famous were probably the likes of Emperor Yan and Sea God from certain fan works, who were demoted from real protagonists to fake ones.
The approach was simple: to boost the White Death God Armor, just send something that would enhance it.
