Chapter 27 We Sleep in Separate Beds

“Because I like you, Miaoke, and whenever I get close to you, I can’t help but get excited. So, you see this?” said Huo Quan as he pushed it up on purpose. After hearing Li Miaoke’s exclamation, he smirked, “It will stand up uncontrollably. This is the reaction of a normal

man.”

“What about a normal woman? If this is the reaction of a normal man, what will the reaction of a normal woman be like?” asked Li Miaoke as she pondered over Huo Quan’s words.

“You should know that almost all the women in the world want to sleep with me, because they will get the chance of becoming my wife.” Huo Quan’s lips curled into an inconspicuous smile.

Li Miaoke paused for a little while. “Well, in that case, I’m not a normal woman at all.” She thought there was nothing good about being Huo Quan’s wife. He was such an outstanding man, which made her feel very insecure. She always felt that another woman would take him from her at any moment. Therefore, she didn’t want to live in fear and uneasiness for the rest of her life.

“Of course you are, Miaoke. But you are just too timid. And you don’t believe in your beauty,” Huo Quan said softly.

Her thoughts having been seen through by Huo Quan, she moved her body, feeling uncomfortable, but Huo Quan’s breath became even hotter.

“You… you can’t do this!” Li Miaoke huffed in a low voice.

“Actually, I want to do something even more indecent to you. Do you want to know what it is?” asked Huo Quan in a mischievous tone of voice. His dirty words made Li Miaoke feel very embarrassed.

Li Miaoke’s heart pounded wildly, and she could feel that her cheeks were becoming hotter and hotter. She didn’t even dare to look into Huo Quan’s eyes.

“No! Not at all!” Out of anger, Li Miaoke bit Huo Quan’s neck. As she wished, she heard his muffled groan. Then, she slowly loosened her teeth and even looked at Huo Quan provocatively. “Now you know what will happen if you piss me off, right?”

Huo Quan stroked his neck which was hurting from the bite, his deep eyes narrowing slightly. “I swear, Miaoke. After your eighteenth birthday, I’ll let you know what a real bad guy is like.”

Li Miaoke’s body trembled. “No, you can’t do anything to me. I’m engaged to you. But we haven’t got married yet. So…” Huo Quan curled his lips. “It’s not your call.”

That night, after Li Miaoke had finished washing up, she stood by the bed with her pillow and blanket in her arms. Meanwhile, she looked at the door warily. When Huo Quan stepped into the room in his home clothes, she became even more nervous.

“What are you doing?” Huo Quan looked at Li Maioke in surprise. “It’s late now. Why are you standing here?”

Li Miaoke shook her head and then nodded. Her reaction amused Huo Quan. “What are you doing? Are you going to sleep or not?”

Li Miaoke’s lips formed a straight line. Finally, she said with a martyred expression, “Yes, I’m going to sleep.” After all, she had an exam tomorrow, so she had to go to bed early today. “Well, go to bed, then. What are you standing here for?” Huo Quan took a step forward. “Or, you will suffer from sleeplessness without me?”

Li Miaoke jumped to her feet with her pillow in her arms. “Of course not! This has nothing to do with sleeplessness. I’m just wondering…”

“Wondering what?” Huo Quan narrowed his eyes.

“I just need an extra bed in our house. In that case, if we quarrel with each other or I get angry and don’t want to sleep with you, we can sleep in separate beds, right?” “Right my ass,” Huo Quan sneered. “You mean, you want me to buy a bed so that you and I can sleep in separate beds?” There weren’t any emotions in his voice. Li Miaoke couldn’t tell whether he was happy or angry. She frowned and explained, “I don’t think so, I just thought…”

However, before Li Miaoke finished her sentence, Huo Quan pushed her onto the bed. Right before she was about to scold him, she suddenly saw the teeth marks on Huo Quan’s neck. She paused.

Huo Quan looked down at her. “Are you feeling guilty? You are the one who bit me, and now you want to punish me? Why don’t you want to sleep with me?”

Li Miaoke’s eyes blinked. “No, I’m so guilty. I just need to repent of what I’ve done to you, alone.”

“There’s no need. I’ve already forgiven you.” Huo Quan turned to lie down on the side of the bed. He tilted his head and looked at Li Miaoke. whose body was stiff. Then, he curled his lips. “If you really feel guilty, come over and kiss

me.”

Li Miaoke was speechless. In fact, she didn’t feel guilty at all.

Huo Quan knew what Li Miaoke was thinking. He patted her head and said with a smile, “Well, I’m not a monster. I won’t eat you.”

Li Miaoke pulled the blanket over her little red face and said, “Oh, come on. I have an exam tomorrow. If I don’t get enough sleep, I can’t get good grades!”
