The Devil Teacher looked at Shen Mochen and Peach Su who were standing in front of her, before looking at Professor Shen who was standing behind them and questioned, “You are…?”

Professor Shen introduced himself with a smile on his face, “Oh, I’m Shen Mochen’s father.” He was really excited. Over the years, his son had never once caused trouble and his grades were so outstanding that there was nothing to fault. While he saw his colleagues being called to their children’s school, he had never experienced being called to school by his son’s teacher. As the saying goes, a parent’s life is not complete until he or she has been called to meet their child’s teacher.

All these years, Professor Shen felt like he was nonexistent in Shen Mochen’s teachers’ eyes, which made him feel very frustrated.

Hence, when Shen Mochen told him yesterday that his teacher had asked him to meet her, he immediately agreed without even asking what had happened. All Shen Mochen told him was that as Peach’s parents were not at home, he was to attend on their behalf as well. This pleased Professor Shen even more as he could finally get his fill of being a parent.

“You must be Professor Shen, I have heard about you.” The Devil Teacher pushed her spectacles up the bridge of her nose, and looked at him seriously as she said, “Your son is doing very well academically. I have read up on his information and I understand that yours is a family of scholars. The reason I invited you over this time is to discuss with you an inevitable stage that he has to go through in the process of growing up. I know that you might usually be busy at work and perhaps can’t pay a lot of attention to your child. But he’s at an age where he may be easily attracted to things, and might be led astray.”

“Yes! Yes!” Professor Shen cheerily listened to the Devil Teacher’s long-windedness, with a respectful expression on his face.

“Of course, this matter is not your son’s fault alone. As the saying goes, it takes two hands to clap. Hence, I invited the parents of both parties to come over.” The Devil Teacher raised his wrist and looked at the time. Turning to Peach, she asked her, “Why aren’t your parents here yet?”

“I…” Peach was about to say something when Professor Shen stepped forward and said with a smile, “I am her parent.”

“…” This time, it was the Devil Teacher’s turn to be too shocked. She was frozen for a long time before snapping out of it and questioning, “Aren’t you Shen Mochen’s father?”

“Yes, I am also Peach Su’s parent.”
